Guest guest
I found this pretty cool: I was eating my breakfast outside, an apple and fruit and vegetable juice, and a yellow jacket landed on my apple. So I offered him some of the apple while I was still eating it. The yellow jacket ate on the apple a little bit, then was getting the apple juice off my fingers. Then another one came and did the same thing. The whole time I just felt gratitude that such beings would visit me. So when I was done with the apple, I laid it on the ground for the yellow jackets. And while I was finishing my drink, they came and landed on my hand, and it was just remarkable how I could just be here and feel these tiny beings crawling on my hands. They seemed way more interested in the juices on my hand than the apple core on the ground. Then after I was done I brought my hand that they were on close to the core to show them my offering and thanked them for visiting, then went inside. I thought this was a cool happening and wanted to share it, I'm glad I can share it with yall. Namaste Craig

Guest guest
Thanks for sharing that Craig! I felt like I was right there with you. I hate to admit this, but I am deathly afraid of bees. Since the K I have actually allowed them to land on me a few times without freaking out, lol. I am making slow progress. I have also tried to be kind to the spiders that keep coming around to visit me (I am also afraid of them). I have gotten them to stay on a fly swatter as I bring them outside to release them. Not up to having them as pets quite yet. ;-) Sarita , "kundaflame" <kundaflame wrote:>> I found this pretty cool: I was eating my breakfast outside, an apple> and fruit and vegetable juice, and a yellow jacket landed on my apple.> So I offered him some of the apple while I was still eating it. Guest guest
Lol! Me too! My squishing of bugs had decreased dramatically. They have a right to live, too. I love the changes! Guest guest
Yeah, I try not to squish any bugs anymore, I probably wouldn't be as welcoming to a spider, especially the hairier ones, I would keep my distance and try to get it out of my area safely, lol. I think fear of bees are common, most of my friends are terrified of bees, I've never really been afraid of them though, they've been stung around me (even on the bottom of one of my friend's foot while running lol) but I've never been stung once, at least that I can remember. I've always felt like we (the bees and me) had a silent agreement that " I don't mess with you, you don't mess with me " and it's worked, but this is the first time I became friendly with them. I just went outside and they are still enjoying that apple core, there's at least 6 now. Namste Craig , " novalees " <dhyana wrote: > > Lol! Me too! My squishing of bugs had > decreased dramatically. Guest guest
The big coincidence though is I've always felt that same agreement with snakes. I've always kept my distance though to not intrude on their territory. But there have been a few times walking out in the woods with my friends and someone would jump and yell snake and I noticed that it was pretty close so I would back up to give it room but have never been really afraid, knew if I didn't mess with it, it wouldn't mess with me. I wonder if I'm going to have a snake occurrence as well hmm... , " kundaflame " <kundaflame wrote: > > Yeah, I try not to squish any bugs anymore, I probably wouldn't be as > welcoming to a spider, especially the hairier ones, I would keep my > distance and try to get it out of my area safely, lol.
