Death Row Dream

I would not normally bother you with a dream, but, this is just too weird.

For the past two

or three weeks my dreams have become much more powerful and graphic. Last night,

I

dreamed I was in a ward of some kind in a white uniform like a hospital gown but

with a

regular shirt. I understood I was restrained somehow pending a serious event

that was not

clear to me. I am hooked up to an IV which I can watch drip-feeding a dark red

liquid into my

blood, but, for some reason somewhere around my left shoulder, instead of in a

forearm. I

understood that this fluid was immobilizing me pending an event that I

understood to be

terminal. Part of me wanted to get up and rip the tubes out and get away, but

the fluid was

sedating me enough that I couldn't rouse the body to run. I decide that they are

probably

monitoring me anyway so, what's the point? I have a white tag on my right arm

that says

FRIDAY. There is another tag on the IV rig that say 5th.

That's it. You know how dreams are. You forget them easily. This dream

seems too

important to forget. I've thought of it several times all morning, and, think I

have a probable

meaning, but, I wanted to get your take on it. So as I sat down to write this

e-mail to you, I

checked my calender. I'm safe in November, but guess what day the 5th of

December falls

on.
