Guest guest
The inner shadow that we all have can become very excited by the gross energetics of the Kundalini. Thoughts and fantasies of violence or s & xual depredations can become quite pronounced. As these thoughts come just let them go. Do not go into the shock of: " How could I have thought such a thing!?? " Just allow them to come and place no attachment on it. This may take some repetition for each subject so stay vigilant. Do NOT act out any of the scenarios that can come. You can get into much trouble by doing so and the punishments are very.......educational. - blessings all - chrism

" I was just talking with a friend about that last night - what I said to her is that our brain and our mind are different things. The brain is ruled by chemical transmissions that influence our thoughts and sometimes one neuron here or there misfires and some strange thinking results. We all experience this, K-active or not. If we don't feel an impulse to act upon these thoughts then that's all they are. Brandi
Guest guest
Hello Brandi, Yes in normal situations I feel you are correct. With the Kundalini normalcy isn't always an option. I was specifically referring to the awakening of the shadow that accompanies the initial infusion of the enlightening Kundalini experience. The shadow can become a very palpable experience and so can its tendencies towards the reason why we call it the shadow - lol! It will often have our darkest fears and our most unrefined and hurtful (for others or self) qualities of thought and potential activity. This gets thrust into our awareness in such a way as to surprise us or shock us but also its internal familiarity (it's OUR shadow) allows us a certain degree of complicity in understanding and fantasizing about these often lurid and violent feelings. Yes these are normal feelings to have but in the case of Kundalini they stand out in ways that are not normal and some have made the horrid mistake of acting out these often extremely strong shadow induced thoughts. (I won't go into detail) Suffice to say that it is often life ruining. So in the context of the Kundalini I do wish to give our membership here a " heads up " about this. In older and more Kundalini prone cultures the abstinence of thoughts around violence or sex of any kind or wants and desires were forcefully purged from the acolyte's attention and consciousness. These students or " chelas " were deprived and punished for losing any of the focus for mental purity that they may slip into. The Tibetans would hit the student with a large stick (hard!) if they didn't meditate long or deep enough. And the teaching Lama would know so there was no faking it!- lol. So to with thoughts of an impure nature. There are other examples some more severe and some less. But it all comes down to the control of the ego desires and the shadow impulses that can be amplified by the Kundalini away from our usual control mechanisms. With Kundalini we must make conscious decisions to " not " do a certain thing or action. We need to allow the thoughts to pass through us, honoring them, and into the stillness of our inner self where they can be dissolved into the inner teaching platforms of " cause and effect " of our inner selves. This was what I was trying to convey. - Blessings and love to you dear Brandi! I appreciate all that you are and what you contribute and I have seen that beautiful pic you have out on the web and it is a good one. - chrism , Brandi Jasmine <jazztalk wrote: > > At 03:41 AM 11/16/2008, you wrote: > > " How could I have thought such a thing!?? Guest guest
The dark side Yes we all have one. Many try to ignore it, some indulge in it. Neither is the path…the middle way. What a fine line we must walk. See our dark side, feel it, know it, let it be….but do not get attached to it, do not act on it, do not indulge in it…wow rich , " chrism " <> wrote: > > Hello Brandi, > Yes in normal situations I feel you are correct.
