Guest guest
This is the first time I have been involved with a group who 'believes' in these K occurrences, as they are referred to in here.. I have trouble with 'labels' – so I like to mix them up a bit in my description. Its my way of not becoming attached to a spiritual tradition as a form for explanation. It's a queer question, this 'how has kundalini affected your life' – how has it not? As soon as the 'big bang' occurs, our whole life is saturated with a different awareness. However, I think we can be more specific. Up to a point, I've been developing at a steady rate, slowly, creeping, one step at a time. I can look back and see that there has been some sort of change for the 'positive', if we are looking at self mastery. However, as my mother says – but you would have developed anyway, just by getting older. Yes, I would have. This last year (it finishes in 4 weeks) I took off from work to dedicate myself to myself, and come to some sort of understanding of me. I stopped giving classes and stopped being responsible to others. It was pure luxury. What did I learn? I understood the meaning of discipline. I understand how important regular physical and spiritual meditation in both the form of qigong and yoga and prayer, meditation are essential for my development. Basically unchallenged sadhana. I understood that our thoughts are as powerful as bricks in condemning others as a police officer whipping a culprit. No judgement – ever. (especially of other spiritual traditions) I understood the power of wise selfishness. I understood how it was my duty and obligation to see to the spiritual awareness of my child, something I was reluctant to face before, for fear of dogma and maternal influence. (ever since I have included him in my spiritual life, his love and trust of me and subsequently life, has grown boundless) Everyone is on different paths. My role is just to 'be' there – and be aware – no more and no less. A clean chalice. Devotion, love, commitment, surrender to 'the light' is the surest path. (on this, there is no discussion) Evil does exist – with in each and every one of us. Its how we deal with it that counts. The chakra system is a remarkable template capable of, if embraced, transforming anyone in any situation. It seems you have found a good balance between Human and Being, the foreground (human, content) and the background (being, spacious awareness). Just a few thoughts.... Guest guest
Thank you Craig, but be sure - its a fine line every day. A friend of mine said she had noticed such a shift in me - that I made it all look so easy. Funny - because sometimes its unbearable - the responsibility, of awareness. And I was struggling with this for such a long time - the surrender. I still have a couple of fingers holding me to my safety vessel - the ego sits there and waits for us to climb back aboard at every wave, at every ripple, even in the stillness of the lake, the ego sits there, ever patient. Some things the ego holds over us are consumed by our fire, but there seems to me, always a little something to be wary of. Guest guest
I can very much relate to all that you say here Tiffany. It is sometimes difficult to be awake, but I wouldn't want to go back either. It helps to have others to travel the path with imo. Thanks for sharing, I have enjoyed reading all your posts. Guest guest
Thank you Sarita, I feel at a bit of a disadvantage, coming new to the group, and I thank you for especially for making me feel welcome and understood. I am reading some previous posts, and my heart is full of compassion for the suffering of so many people. There is a lot of confusion and I see the human mind at work. Honestly, this time last month I wouldn't have been able to deal with it in a constructive way. I can feel the energy banging on my door. Thanks for writng. 2008/12/2 Sarita <sarita1969 I can very much relate to all that you say here Tiffany. It is sometimes difficult to be awake, but I wouldn't want to go back either.
