Guest guest
Busy here, work hours changed so I'm not online as much. Hello to all. First snow made the world white today. I have a little custom, first snow means I climb our local mountain. The Indian name for for it translates to " place of power " . Giant upthrust from the earth. The glaciers scoured around it and left it to be. New dog thought this was big time fun. Old dog was found on this same mountain top. Big black thing coming out of the woods at me. I feel very much at home, comforted, alive, when I go to the top. I hold my hands out to the air. Cold, we're doing 20 degrees, with wind chill below zero. New dog caught on quick, about a quarter of the way up, he no longer pulled on the lead, he stood beside me instead.Took the lead off and Kismet just stood by my side, we'd walk and stop. Going to be a good, smart dog. He's tired now, sleeping with his head on my feet. I go up when the snow falls to look at the stars, it's crystal clear, I have the billions and billions of stars here. Tip of the hat to Carl Sagan. You look down from this mountain onto ocean. I have stars and ocean and I am so full. I look at them, the stars at night. They make me whole. I am part of them as they are part of me. I started out as stardust and I will return to it. Somedays I hope that happens soon, with not much pain. The cold season is moving in hard here, pulling in and pulling back. New dog, is interesting, found us, creature who needed a home. Tells me much Love, peace and blessings to you all Peace Don in Maine
