Guest guest
A post by chrism on the tantra list and my response below...This is very strong. It requires deep intense daily practice and application. One does not need to have a partner. One's Kundalini becomes the partner. The teacher becomes the initial point and focus of the surrender as it is the teacher who will be giving the initial transmissions towards the tantric expression for Kundalini awakening. This eventually segues into the Kundalini but at first a corporeal point of reference is easier to access. blessings all - chrism My understanding of what is being said here is that the long distant tantra teachings that are used by chrism are intense and require not only a deep commitment to the safeties and a practice it requires a surrender to the teacher. I posted my thoughts on surrender to a guide on the main site a while ago. To reiterate: the guide is the embodiment of the Divine for students- it is far easier to surrender to a flesh and blood guide (for most of us ) than it is to surrender to an energy/Divine we can only conceptualize. Surrender needs to be a total surrender - body, mind and spirit and all that this involves. By surrendering to the teacher one surrenders to the teacher's kundalini/Divine not the teacher him/herself. By doing so one is really surrendering to one;s own divine self ( for the Divine is the Divine - whether the teachers or the students) Because of this one has to be completely trusting of the teacher. He/she has to be of impeccable character and integrity. As chrism has stated often - if the teacher asks you to do anything that you feel is wrong or inappropriate then turn away - if you are asked to do anything that would harm you or another then turn away - if you are asked to do anything of a sexual nature with or for the teacher's personal gratification - then turn away. Surrender to a teacher involves doing what is directed without hesitation without complaining without questioning. If surrender can be achieved by a student with a teacher and the student follows the directives fully at some point the student will transfer the surrender from the teacher's Kundalini to the students own Kundalini. The wonderful aspect of a surrender to chrism is that along with the transfer to one's own Kundalini comes a gift from chrism's Kundalini- an energy transfer. I do hope I explained this correctly - I understand it but to explain concisely is not that easy - I can say with certainty that chrism will decide if tantra techniques are appropriate for a kundalini process for an individual student - they are not for all. However surrender is appropriate no matter what the method of advancing the kundalini program. I wish you all full and complete surrender --- namaste
