Guest guest
Wow…life gets in the way! I have plans to eat at my parents on what should be the second day of the fast and plans to eat at my parents in-law's on the third day! Holliday get togethers with lots of eating. A really bad time to fast. I have no problem fasting. I have done many much longer fasts. But, as I was afraid of, this is a bad time of the year for this. Still I am committed to going through with it. It is a rare opportunity and I don't want to miss it. How important is the fast? If I go to my partent's and in-laws to eat will I be missing anything? rich
Guest guest
Rich: A fast is not necessary for the Shaktipat. It does and can add to the experience but many of us do not do the fast. Since it is not working this time perhaps the next Shaktipat you can plan a fast. You will have the experience that is gifted to you by means of your practice of the safeties. Enjoy your Shaktipat... e
Guest guest
thank you I feel funny saying that I may not be able to fast for my Shaktipat due to a holiday/ family meal. The Shaktipat is sacred, spiritual event. The family meal is just a meal. Then again it is one of the biggest family meals of the year. The way our families are the meal lasts all day. To sit for one of those meals without eating and then trying to explain to everyone why I am fasting…well Thanks again for the feedback rich , " " . wrote: > > Rich: > A fast is not necessary for the Shaktipat. Guest guest
No need to faste then Richatrd. This isnt a one time deal for you. I hope! - lol. We go slow and gradual allowing as much time as is needed for the changes to commence. AND then as we process these changes we go slow and gradual as the Kundalini itself dictates with in your special and unique expression. - blessings Richard - chrism
