Hi All,

I do voluntary work for a charity that raises money for children and

young people suffering abuse. There is a picture up in most of our

shops of a little girl who is so sweet, and has a beautiful smile,

and seeing her each working day gives me the impetus to work harder

for them. Last night she appeared to me in a vision. She was wearing

a lovely frilly pink party dress and told me she had a present for

me. It was a piece of crumpled up paper and written on it in childish

writing was Matthew 15:17.

It was a vision, not a dream so I got up and went into our spare room

where I keep my books and looked in my Bible. The quote says:

" Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the

stomach, and so passes on? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds

from the heart, and this defiles a man " .

We do spend a lot of time worrying about what we eat, how long to

fast, should we be vegetarian, vegan or a carnivore? But how many of

us put as much thought into what comes out of our mouth and how it

will affect the person we are talking to or even someone who is in

earshot of our conversation. Abuse takes many forms and one of the

most hurtful is verbal abuse, especially if directed at children.

My birth mother always told me I was the ugliest out of her 12

children and I grew up with that thought. Never feeling I was as nice

or as lovable as other girls, and then other women. It did not matter

who told me otherwise, as I believed what my mother said was the

truth. So please this Christmas, however much your children, parents

and friends drive you to distraction, do the following - Before you

talk to anyone imagine you have sweet honey in your mouth, what kind

of words would come from a 'honey mouth'? Sweet words, of course.

May all your words be sweet with honey, not soured with vinegar.

Blessings,
