Guest guest
There is no offence here. It is good and needed that you…we, all of us…feel free to share whatever we are going through. I can not say that I feel the same but I have at times in the past. There have been times when the usual things that made happy stopped making me happy and I felt a bit dead inside. I think that you are going through a transformation…the old is dying and you are in a void. This is needed before the new can arrive. Just be with it, ride it out, see it through and trust in the process. You are evolving. rich , " ntaroiu " <lsirca wrote: > > I don't want to offend anyone but ever since my K awakening ,i no > longer like Christmas.Just putting up pretenses for the sake of my > children is a chore.I'm so depressed now just looking at the presents > under the tree makes me cry.Getting presents doesn't make me feel > happy,i just feel dead inside.Does anyone feel this way ? > > love, nicole >

Guest guest
Hello nicole, I find it can be very easy to lose balance during the Holidays. Its a good time to remember to nurture the vertical as well as the horizontal, then, no matter what is going on, the joy and peace can overflow into it. The vertical being to nurture the birth of Divinity within, the horizontal in serving those in our worlds in ways that nurture love and joy in their lives as well. Then Christmas is a time to radiate what has been growing within us, and enjoying the beauty and grace that the Divine has opened to us. Sounds like you just need to bring a spiritual dimension into your celebration. Hope that helps a little. Guest guest
Nicole, I think this is a very appropriate feeling. I shared it with you, and did some reflecting on it. Christmas is so commercialized; and it is time that the few of us stood up to "tradition", and voiced our real opinion. It is not offensive; it is honest, realistic, and refreshing. This year I did not buy presents for everyone I know, did not get in the madding rush, and feelings of "what should I get for aunt sue who has EVERYTHING???" I bought Santa Claus for my 2 and 3 year old grandchildren because I want them to feel the delight of allowing the imagination to grow with the possibilities of miracles and men in red suits who arrive on sleighs powered by reindeer, and slide down chimneys leaving toys. These were very inexpensive toys; and I am comfortable with what I did. MY joy will come from seeing their eyes light up when they see what is under the tree. Yet this Christmas I am aware of what is going on in the world, yet hopeful that a change for the better is coming in 2009. This is what I cling to. In the hotel today, I have sent out and received joy with smiles and well-wishes. It has been a special time thus far with people who are obviously not in homes or at home for the holiday. In some way, all I have spoken to I have had a connection with. Surrender to the feeling, then let love fill your heart. Blessings of the season, and you don't need a reason. Guest guest
Nichole: I used to have an empty feeling years ago. Somehow, through the years, I stopped. for the most part, giving presents for Christmas. I gave them so much that I said, and they more than agreed, "Everyday is Christmas." I must admit that I give them money, but if it is not there, we always give each other love. This year, with the world's poor forced to get poorer by greed there is an article on Dec 24 on democracynow.org by a man and his family that leave not even the carbon footprint of a shower shoe. Relatives in Denmark found an uncle on a park bench about to commit suicide because he had nothing to give his family at Christmas. The consumer economy puts this depression in our heads. As Peter said to the blind man at the gate of Jerusalem, "Gold and silver have we none, but what we have we give to you." The man mentioned also has a blog at noimpactman.com. - -- On Wed, 12/24/08, ntaroiu <lsirca wrote: ntaroiu <lsirca Wednesday, December 24, 2008, 1:19 AM I don't want to offend anyone but ever since my K awakening ,i no longer .. Guest guest
Sorry I forgot to mention that the "them" are my children. Love at Christmas and every day.
