Guest guest
hello everyone, and apologies that I have not written in quite a long time again! I wanted to share an observation with you all in regard to the potency with which connecting to people via facebook seems capable at times. it is, or can be, quite incredible. part of this lies in the fact it is a permission-based system of social networking, which requires the free willed assent of the individual to connect. and when this is accomplished, I swear that at times I feel like some sort of energetic switchboard. I have occasionally felt similar levels of energy via email or instant messaging conversations, but for whatever reason this seems far more powerful and the sensation a far more common occurence. in the present time I think it is important to remember that markets are composed of individuals and not vice versa. we face the problems we do because we have forgotten that the base of any " market " is social connectedness, energetic exchange, and in attempting to treat it as an object of its own, we destroy, distort and abuse an amazing, emergent natural system. and this primarily because we subject people to it through competition, and manipulate it from without through agencies of central banking, currency manipulation, and governmental intervention. facebook, it would seem, gives us a presentiment of what a truly free market might look like and what its establishment, not by force or even consensus but by individual choice and conscious decision to reject it as a basis for human relations might mean for humanity. my apologies if this sounds overly naive or idealistic. at times I am both. happy new year to you all! -brian
