Guest guest
Chrism, or anyone who cares to offer their thoughts. As you and I have discussed, I started down this spiritual path about 12 years ago by reading anything I could find on " alternative " spirituality, and, eventually began visualization exercises recommended by spiritual author Joseph Weed. After a few years, about 6 years ago, I began to experience seizure-like episodes which became worse until they became life-threatening. By reducing the intensity of my routine (eliminating brain-wave entrainment recordings, reducing length and frequency of visualization exercises), I have almost eliminated the seizure episodes, and have adopted less aggressive methods in order to permit the K- energy to move things along as she sees fit. Perhaps she finds me too entertaining to allow to die just yet, as things have leveled out. The Winter Shaktipat was slightly stimulating, but more clearing, for me, and I am grateful for your assistance, and efforts on my behalf. I am interested in your opinion on my observations regarding the energies I am experiencing, since there appear to be two very different types of energy. If I engage in moderate exercises to stimulate the chakra system, along with moderate meditation, I will occasionally experience a light release of energy from the base chakra which streams up to my crown. I would best describe it as liquid, luminous, and, love-based. In my mind's eye, it appears to be a stream of luminescent particles, rather than a solid stream of light, which is accompanied by the " understanding " that a heavier exposure would be harmful to me. Even so, it is pleasurable in the extreme. Naturally, being possessed of great intellect and superior judgement, I press harder to stimulate a greater energy release. This always results in a release of energy which appears to come from the base chakra, but, is very different. I would describe it as uncontrolled, buzzy, and raw. It appears, in my mind as light, but without the qualities of warm awareness I felt in the first energy I described. This energy results in a " buzzing " sensation which is not pleasant, and, for me, results in seizure episodes. My reading on this subject of spirit energy is leading me to conclude that Chi, and Kundalini, are not the same. Chi seems to be pure, basic energy, which is applied, and controlled by the practitioner,(as in Reiki). It is " told " what to do via mantra or symbols. Kundalini, on the other hand, is intelligent energy flavored with the quality of love. Any attempt to " control " this energy is just stupid. It does the controlling. My question is, am I experiencing both? Or, is it possible that the energy we stimulate from the base " 1st " chakra is just energy, and only becomes " intelligent " , controlled, and loving with the participation of the universal " Source " , as " It " sees fit? For me, one produces uncontrolled results which may not be beneficial, and the other feels caring, loving, and produces physical symptoms which, even when uncomfortable, produce mental, emotional, and spiritual progress. Not sure if I am making any sense as I am just trying to define this as I go. At any rate, if you get the chance, I'd appreciate your thoughts. I too have worked with light/sound devices for brainwave entrainment as well as several of the Monroe gateway cd's at some points in life. For a while I used them pretty regularly, and also have experienced seizure-type effects on occasion as well as various levels of disorientation and disturbance of normal sleep habits. now it's very sparingly if at all and I haven't touched Monroe hemisync in over two years. I've always thought chi/prana and kundalini were a whole different ballgame. one comes largely unbidden, often during quite mundane acts, and in fact even in a powerful little surge after posting my previous comment here, and is as you describe - I consider it the energy of higher consciousness, and it's autonomous... and the other can be brought on basically at will, directed with thought and visualization and is far less powerful. your comments are right on track with my own experiences, at least,,, hope that helps! also on occasion when the activation was particularly strong I've tried to " push " as well, and succeeded once in ending up with a nasty burning sensation up the back that made it feel like my shoulders were on fire. immediately I thought, oh sh!t, I guess we found pingala... luckily it subsided and I learned not to do that any more. happy 2009! -brian
Guest guest
Yes Kundalini and Chi are different though they have inter connecting properties that allow for bleed through with regard to phenomena and yet the phenomena are quite different. To one who is unaccustomed to feeling either it is easy to mistake one for the other. I compliment you on the clear and insiteful explainations of your observations Craig Falkner. You have indeed done so well in your descriptions that I can only point the interested Kundalini researcher to your experience and let them read it as you have written it. Nice going Craig! Here is a picture you may see as a visual validation of your experience. This would be of the Kundalini. - chrism , "falkner.craig" <falkner.craig wrote:>> Chrism, or anyone who cares to offer their thoughts.
