Guest guest
hope this finds you well. at some point you mentioned that you feel some sort of affinity with the tibetans. something happened to me last november that you might find interesting. i am a member of drepung loseling (drepung.org) here in atlanta which is associated with the gelug school and the dalai lama. last november the maitreya project (maitreyaproject.org)heart shrine relic tour, came through town and as part of it i was blessed by a lama with the ringsel, crematory, pearl like beads from sakyamuni. these were placed in a silver cup and placed over crown chakra for a couple of minutes while the lama chanted. i had an extraordinary experience which seems to be unusual. as the ringsel were placed on my head a huge force of energy came down and centered in my neck, almost unbearable in it's force. my head shook. then it moved up to the interior of the cup on my head with huge heat.also, it felt like an area the size of the crown chakra was ripped like skin from my scalp. the heat burned my chakra and forced and filled the ringsel filled cup.just when that felt beyond overwhelming the lama removed it and we stared with the most love i have ever felt into each others eyes. then it was all over, mundane reality returned and my husband don and i left. of course no one there will speak to me about it just as no one will speak to me about my extraordinary kundalini awakening experience. i have heard that the modern tibetan experience is all " brownie points and badges " .no one will speak of anything. for what it's worth, susan callaway
Guest guest
i think thats a very interesting experience. it can only give you faith in where you are going and motivation. the buddhist interpretation is that karma was being cleared, burned away. these experiences aren't meant to be held onto. the reason buddhists don't discuss these experiences is because it can easily turn into idle-chatter. but you can always discuss them with your teacher if you have one. very cool though keep going! , " akamushi3000 " <akamushi3000 wrote: > > hope this finds you well. > at some point you mentioned that you feel some sort of affinity > with the tibetans. something happened to me last november that you > might find interesting. > i am a member of drepung loseling (drepung.org) here in atlanta > which is associated with the gelug school and the dalai lama. > last november the maitreya project (maitreyaproject.org)heart shrine > relic tour, came through town and as part of it i was blessed by > a lama with the ringsel, crematory, pearl like beads from > sakyamuni. these were placed in a silver cup and placed over crown > chakra for a couple of minutes while the lama chanted. i had an > extraordinary experience which seems to be unusual. as the > ringsel were placed on my head a huge force of energy came down and > centered in my neck, almost unbearable in it's force. my head shook. > then it moved up to the interior of the cup on my head with huge > heat.also, it felt like an area the size of the crown chakra was > ripped like skin from my scalp. the heat burned my chakra and forced > and filled the ringsel filled cup.just when that felt beyond > overwhelming the lama removed it and we stared with the most love i > have ever felt into each others eyes. then it was all over, mundane > reality returned and my husband don and i left. > of course no one there will speak to me about it just as no one will > speak to me about my extraordinary kundalini awakening experience. > i have heard that the modern tibetan experience is all " brownie points > and badges " .no one will speak of anything. > for what it's worth, > susan callaway >
