Guest guest
how does one sit in easy pose without legs going numb (they go numb within 5 to 10 minutes)? Is this pose pinching a nerve? and I've tried leaning my head forward which doesn't hurt while doing it, but over time my neck begins to get stiff (like 4 or 5 days of doing it) and I find myself unconsciously throwing my posture out of alignment by moving my head a little forward. any suggestions? craig , " chrism " <> wrote: > > >
Guest guest
My legs used to go numb. I stretch before I go into pose and also place a couple of pillows below my behind. I find it works for me. I used to get back pains holding the posture and found by leaning against a couch helped. Guest guest
thanks, it seems that many sitting postures: seiza, burmese, half lotus, and easy pose make my legs go numb (I use pillows when I sit in burmese or half lotus). With half lotus and burmese it's just one simple shift in the middle of meditation and I can last the rest of the meditation without them becoming too numb again (although half lotus after a couple weeks really starts hurting my knees). But with easy pose, I last about 5 to 10 minutes and my legs go really uncomfortably numb, I'll shift and 5 minutes later they're numb again. Should I just bear through it? will it get better over time, or should I use the burmese sitting posture? and is there anything I can do for my neck so it doesn't get so stiff and sore? craig , " ERNIE BENEVENTI " <erniebeneventi wrote: > > My legs used to go numb.
