Guest guest
A few weeks ago, I had the following dream. I was driving up to a dirt parking lot amongst some houses on a hill, looking for a place to park. I had been there before, but this time couldn't find an open parking place. Then I was inside the house there which was actually a mom and pop snow-cone/ice cream stand. I was standing inside at the counter, on which was a cup filled with shaved ice, on top of the ice was a hummingbird, predominantly green. The hummingbird was in hibernation, I was fascinated with its large round glassy black eyes. I wasn't going to eat the hummingbird as other people were there to do, I would rather set it free since there was a neighborhood community of these hummingbirds, and I thought they should go back to their natural lives. Also I have seen images of hummingbirds several times here and there since the dream. I looked up symbolism for hummingbirds in Ted Andrews' " Animal-Speak " : Keynote: Tireless Joy and the Nectar of Life Indeed hummingbirds go into a hibernated state overnight when cold; also they never land on their feet. Their vibrating wings are akin to humming, which creates an internal massage, restoring health and balance. 300 species is significant, as the Hebrew letter " shin " = 300, and has associations of fire and relationships, the past and the future. The hummingbird has ability to move its wings in a figure 8 pattern, a symbol for infinity and links to the past and future and the laws of cause and effect. Also refers to the ability to teach you to extract your own nectar; teaching knowledge of how to use flowers/colors/fragrance/herbals for healing, how to draw the life essence from them and create your own medicines (e.g. Bach flower remedies, flower elixirs). Hummingbird is the most skillful flyer of all birds, can hover, fly backward, forward and sideways; it cannot walk, but flies everywhere; can take off at high speeds and also stop immediately in flight, and is not afraid of any predator; even known to chase off eagles. Associated with the Faerie realm and with the rainbow. Playful, independent, freedom-loving, master architects, capable of amazingly long migrations, a symbol of accomplishing what seems impossible, how to find the miracle of joyful living from your own life circumstances. Namasté ~Delia " As below, so above; and as above so below. With this knowledge alone you may work miracles. And since all things exist in and emanate from the ONE Who is the ultimate Cause, so all things are born after their kind from this ONE.
