Guest guest
Hi Artsychyck I'm 42 and my mother started her menopause at 40, so I have been paying attention to this issue. My mother had a difficult menopause and I do not wish to have the same experience so it has long been my intention to have a " good " menopause. By that I mean allowing the physical and emotional changes to take place but to welcome the changes as a natural part of my development into my next stage in life , and to avoid the emotional and physical rollercoaster that so many women seem to experience. I had already become aware of Kundalini through other interests , and I happened to read somewhere that Kundalini can be helpful for a woman going through the menopause, amongst other things, and so it seemed to fit for me, and later I found this group. I work as a therapist and I have a particular interest in the how suppressed negative emotions or conflicts manifest in physical symptoms or illness, and I recognise these as our bodymind's way of asking us to resolve or heal those issues. As far as the menopause is concerned the way I work asks " what issues or conflicts do you have or have had in the past that might need resolving now? " These issues might be about the children you have had or lost, decisions why you had children or decided not to have them, how you feel as a woman, how you feel about being a woman post-menopause, lots of things that are to do with who you are or who you really want to be. So what has Kundalini got to do with it? Well here is my simple take on it -based on my experiences in the last few months with K, bearing in mind that I have still much to learn ) I have learned that coming into resonance or congruence or coherance with yourself ( and others) is part of the Kundalini process - and in order for that to happen you must resolve - or let go of - your emotional blocks or patterns. Kundalini will bring them to the surface and I have had several issues come to the surface in the last few months as well as a range of physical symptoms - and it took me a while to suss out that it was the K working. As you've heard from the replies you've had - they are recommending that you do not try to awaken K with the express intention of easing or preventing your menopause symptoms - as you might experience just as much of a rollercoaster as you would during your menopause - i.e K will bring your issues to the surface ( amongst other things - which you can read about in the files on the KAS site - and I recommend you read as much as you can) The main learning for me has been about what my intention is in working with K - I have shifted my focus of attention from healing or supporting particular issues e.g. the menopause , the wider issue of balancing myself as a whole, and in that process issues will get healed any way. The practices that chrism and others recommend are designed to help you through the process, e.g. to help balance the chakra energies to create a clear path for the K. chrism is committed to supporting people in having a gentle awakening so that you can avoid the explosive experiences that some folks have experienced as K rises in them. I've been taking part in the Shakipat - and I have found it to be a helpful experience - and have had great K energy and healing experiences. You've had an offer of healing from chrism and I recommend you take him up on that - and although I haven't contributed much to the group discussions, the group itself is very supportive and informative. Is anyone else presently going through a similar experience? Guest guest
Hi Artsychyck, Licorice root and red clover blossoms are herbs that are very helpful during perimenopause. I have been taking both daily for more than a decade (I'll soon be 50). If hot flashes become a problem, black cohosh is helpful for those. Guest guest
Thank you all, beautiful souls, for your incredible wisdom! I'm paralyzed with happiness! Yes, I am new to this group. I was participating over on EZBoard in the twinflame/twinsoul forum because I had a kundalini awakening 3 years ago and needed some guidance/direction as to what was happened to me. But as time passed, EZboard became rather unfriendly and unloving so I left. But I'm so glad to be here now in this incredible forum with such loving people! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Guest guest
Dear chrism I wouldn't have been able to make sense of what has been happening for me over the last few months if it wasn't for this group and all the support and information that you've made available here , so thank you! , " chrism " <> wrote: > > Excellent post Greta.
