One thing I've started doing is doing metta mediation almost daily. When I'm in that loving vibration and bring that to the present moment, to forgive and openly embrace the now during meditation, my energy expands. Also spending some time in the morning and night forgiving. I ask my heart what situation or person that still needs to be forgiven and wait for the answer to come with as much focus on the question as I can. Also during the day I try to be mindful of my thoughts and when I notice an angry thought or negative thought I stop what I'm doing (or go to the bathroom if I'm in a public place) and forgive and open to the experience as fully as possible. > So basically, the more loving and content I am with the present moment, the more my energy expands during meditation. And with that, the more I'm willing to let go of the past and future (a visualization I sometimes use is seeing the past and future as luggage that when I sit on my cushion I lay it all down, just for the meditation period, my mind is more willing to let go of it if it knows it's just for a short while). Well that's about it, hope that was a clear explanation... > namaste > craig > > > > > , " gypsyeyes_101 " <gypsyeyes_101@> wrote: > > > > Hi Craig, > > > > > My body began to dissolve during my night meditation to where I felt like a > > cloud with no boundaries but a definite point in space. Guest guest
Hey Angelina, Metta meditation is a Buddhist type of meditation for developing the seed of loving kindness, basically the same type of love a mother has for her child, may not always agree with the child but the love is unconditional none the less. Here is a link to the book that I adopted my practice of metta from to better explain it if you're interested: http://books.google.com/books?id=CrTRvmN9wQUC & pg=PA71 & lpg=PA71 & dq=ajahn+brahm+metta+meditation & source=bl & ots=NXz-gvleFD & sig=eCGUf4y1ZE9TQnK2sUfre5vAN3w & hl=en & ei=WlfOScqHC8irtgeFuaHmCQ & sa=X & oi=book_result & resnum=2 & ct=result#PPA67,M1 (pgs. 65-70), the link's a mouthful! The first time I dissolved was actually one of the few experiences around the time of my initial activation where I was really inspired and my inner body (chi) became really alive and I sat down in meditation and began to fully accept the present moment and became more interested in the silent gaps between thoughts and sound than in the actual thoughts and sound. Soon my whole identity shifted to the silent gaps, I became the silence and all noise and thoughts were arising out of me (the silence) and dissolving back into me. I was no longer controlled by thoughts nor any noise nor was there any emotional charge to them, I had a deep realization that I had nothing to worry about, all things were destined to die/dissolve and it was I that remained. I think that day I experienced death before death. I went into my meditation around noon, and meditated for about an hour, but this experience and deep realization continued and lasted until I went to sleep that night. I no longer was a body, it dissolved into energy, but I could still feel it and honor it. I was no longer thought, they were fleeting and since there was 'no one' to hold onto and latch onto them, they vanished very quickly. The silence and space was ever expanding. I wish words could convey this, but not even my memory comes close to the actual living in that deep realization, the embodiment of this. Last night's experience was no where close to this one. But last night's experience was more like my frequency kept expanding. First I became aware of my chi, and slowly it began to become more and more noticeable, more alive. Then it was like my awareness was expanding to my aura and I was becoming more and more sensitive to the more subtle energy of my aura. And then on it went, not too far but just a couple of feet. I could still feel my body and skin if I wanted to, but I wanted to see how far the rabbit hole goes. So I let go and surrendered more and more until it felt like I was a cloud, or a light- my body the bulb, and I could feel the emanations of the light from the bulb on outward. Well anyways, in my experience, the more I try to make these experiences happen, or I try to repeat them, they won't happen. It's all about surrendering the 'doer' little by little, in stages. The happen the more I'm willing to jump off the building of the known and my past identity and free fall into the unknown of letting it all go.namastecraig , "gypsyeyes_101" <gypsyeyes_101 wrote:>> Hi Craig,> > >it seems that when I can increase my vibrations, my energy> expands. Guest guest
The author is Ajahn Brahm and the book is Mindfulness, Bliss, and Beyond: A Meditator's Handbook You can go to google and look in the top left hand corner where it says " web, images, map, news " and go to the options " more " with the arrow and choose the book search and then type in " ajahn brahm mindfulness, bliss, and beyond " and it should pop up and it gives you full access to the book and pages 65-70 is the section about metta. I'm trying to stay balanced, meditation's one thing, getting up from the cushion is another. Let's just say I have many opportunities to practice forgiveness throughout my day, lol. craig , " gypsyeyes_101 " <gypsyeyes_101 wrote: > > Hi Craig, > > Thank you for your reply! Guest guest
Yes this is fine as it is a form of the compression prayer. 21 times is fine. Do not over do it as more is not better in these areas. Also do not breathe into the sixth or seventh chakra. There may come a time when the Shakti consciousness instructs this. But as a general precautionary guidance against migraines and other unfortunate experiences steer clear of 6 and 7 chakra for direct ego intentional stimulation. - blessings Craig. - chrism PS I will need to change the instructions for the seventh day Shaktipat so thank you for that clarification Craig! - c , " kundaflame " <kundaflame wrote: > > Oh yeah, there's one more thing, I tried this during Shaktipat and will continue to see how it works. When I do the chakra breathing, I use the affirmations the Dhyana gave us for the explanations of each chakras during shaktipat. I choose whichever one's move me the most in the moment and say it at the beginning of the breath and then hold that thought in my awareness for a total of 3 breaths and then move on to the next affirmation for the same chakra and hold it in my awareness and feel the feelings of it actually being true for the 3 breaths and I do this on up to 21. I also imagine the color of the chakra where it's located and then allow that color to fill my being and basically become that color, like I'm illuminating that color. > So basically I try to embody the affirmation and color while breathing into the location of each chakra on up to the 5th chakra.
