Guest guest
John, Thank you for posting the legal definitions as they relate to persona. It was very informative. Ben, I wanted to share with you my ideas around trust, as I understand it at this point in time. Social anxiety and fear of society have required a great deal of introspection on my part over the past few years.. Your comments and the information posted earlier about persona will be useful here as I share my experiences. When a person chooses to leave a cut throat corporate environment for a different place to work, is it because a lack of trust in themselves or a choice to free themselves of their persona as mandated by their company. The issue of trust probably comes into play when they aren't sure of how they must behave in such a competitive situation. The choice to free themselves of the environment seems to me to be a matter of unshackling the persona they have taken on, and all of the behaviors that come with it, like thoughts, planning, and action. My experience of society includes a great deal of fear and confusion. I don't know who my employers are or what they do with the money generated by my labor. There is no way to know what I am participating in. I do not know what I am becoming, what artificial persona I am taking on. It doesn't feel like I am getting what I need out of being an employee of the United State of America Corp. When I go out into the world I am surrounded by people who are completely entrenched in their persona, their sense of self is intertwined with their status, possession, and job. They derive their motives from this sense of self, I'm aware that their perceptions are geared to promote success as they understand it. In society, in social situations, I can feel people classifying me, approaching me, responding to me from this sense of self. It is very painful to be isolated, but I'm afraid to be a part of something that I do not understand. In many cases I am choosing not to participate because by focusing soley on myself, I feel more real. I know better who I am serving. My own mind is an environment that I can understand and use to become a healthier, more functional being. This is just the perspective I take, it doesn't mean that I do not interact with the world dynamic. The way I interact is through my own desires, dreams, knowledge, and inspiration. They lead me through the world, clumsily, as I have so much to learn, but authentically.. I'm aware that I do not trust myself and how I will react to certain situations. It could be out of fear, frustration, anger, etc. But there is a strong feeling inside that I do not want to put myself into situations I do not understand, dynamics that pull me into persona where I people will attract to me or repel on the basis of their mental programming. I want to live free, but how does one do that in this world? What does a person have to know and do in order to live a free life? I want to know these things as I strive to purify myself and let go of old ways of living.. With a healthier mind and body, I'll be able to serve from a place of truth and integrity. I would like to serve from myself instead of from a post persona mandated by corporations or world dynamics. John,I'm going to throw a few things out there for consideration and you can digest it however you wish.I can empathize to what your referring. For me, I find that with all the programming going on out there in the 'commercial' world, the word 'deceit' is more relevant term for me (for experiences that I've gone through in the last year). Do I believe everyone is deceitful? No, but people are learning to wear different masks. Are people afraid of who they are, or are they not content on who they have become, or are they putting on this face to obtain something they wish for. On the other hand, take a look at a really good salesperson, and you will see various faces and the behavioural flexibility that is displayed, usually matching up to the buyer- is this deceit? I don't think so, it's just rapport building and business. On a more personal level, there are those who, instead of changing, I find them (as you termed it) hiding behind the actors mask- there is a tremendous difference between the two. It's important to differentiate personal and business, and behaviour and self. There cannot be a pot luck of all off the various levels as it will cause confusion, generalization and distortion of your world view of people. If you stand back and look at yourself from an 'observers' perspective, you will notice that you too change, based on the people your with, your environment, etc. I think God gave us this flexibility to cope with the various degrees of situations.Let's give hope to those who change based on the better good of the world.St. Benedict started the Monastery based on the fact that he was disappointed with everyone and became a hermit in the caves of Italy. He had a tremendous following that became what we know today as Christianity- as far as the rituals are concerns. What you are referring to has gone on as long as people walked the earth. It becomes a choice of whom you wish to surround yourself with. There is good and not so good. I believe intentions of most are good and each and every person has a positive intention of making themselves happy- It's the context of which they use to get there...it may harm some, but they get what they want to make them happy. For me, you get what you see. No hidden agendas, no deceit, integrity and honesty. And with all of that, people read into me as if I have an agenda, etc...go figure. I have also learned that people see things through their own perspective. If a person cannot trust anyone, they are mearly seeing the world through their own spectacles that they cannot be trusted. Or past experiences has dug deep into their mind that they cannot surrender.Read the safties....Forgiven ess and Surrender it all to move forward.Just food for thought.ErnieKundalini-Awakening -Systems- 1 , "JOHN. Guest guest
ok Zack The matrix movie is a good example, Any one of the persons that is not unplugged, at any time can become an agent to suck you back into the system. Gordon Maxwell has claimed a lot of ideas of his went into the making of the movies. I wouldn't get to caught up into it though a positive outlook is better than a negative, We only need to observe, the k will carry the baggage, As you said you have found faith in your self. The self you should be seen to have trust in, is the higher self ,the Ishtar deva, not the fears or the quazzie misunderstanding of love associated to the lower ego, The ishta deva or devi as it is non sexual persists in the nano spheres of quantum science that is beyond time and space. It is what I believe to be the domain of Christ. Some where in the bible it says have trust in god and never go hungry. So then there is a need to come to learn to trust your higher self. it is still what I am trying to do and its a long road. In love John .M - Zack Nemeth Friday, April 17, 2009 4:53 AM Re: Re: faith in persona, trust, and freedom John, Thank you for posting the legal definitions as they relate to persona.
