Guest guest
I have been experiencing some uncomfortable pressure/pain in the area of my sternum for the past several days. I constantly feel as though I need to take a deep breath as my breathing has become rather shallow. You know how sometimes you feel the urge to take a really, really deep inhale to expand your chest/lungs, and then there is a great relief? Well, that is exactly what I'm talking about, but I get that urge/need about twice a minute. This is new, the past two nights I have tried to sleep, almost as soon as I lay in bed my chest begins to hurt pretty bad, like it's being crushed, and the sternum area is very sensitive. I have managed to fall asleep both nights around 11:00pm and both nights I woke at 1:29am. The first night I lay awake for an hour or more with this pain bothering me, and eventually fell asleep. Last night I moved out to the couch and fell asleep there. I have been trying to ween myself from my pain meds (back) although I've never had chest problems/pains. Last night I took a dose at 1:30 after getting up and some Tums (having a lot of upset stomach problems too) and fell asleep relatively fine. I do not know what to expect tonight, it seems there is no position that is comfortable, on my back or either side, or a twisting combo of the two. I've tried everything but standing on my head. This is in my waterbed that I've had for 10+ years and absolutely love, can't live without. Now all of a sudden it seems to aggravate me. Don't know if it's the bed or me. Chrism and others: Have you any light to shed or advice to offer? Thank you very much, With humble appreciation, Bill
Guest guest
I've had a somewhat similar case of shallow breathing last year . I had much energy work going on in the area of my sternum causing very shallow breaths . I went to my doctor and he could see my chest area having short spasms . It last for about five weeks and the only thing that really help me to sleep was lying flat on the floor breathing in as deep as i could before going to bed . One thing that may have or not caused this was the drug " neurotin " . I was prescribe these earlier that week and they caused much pain for me , with the kundalini energy . I stop taking them the second day and three days after that was when kundalini was working in my sternum area , that was causing the spasms and shallow breathing . Yours appears to be going nice and slow but yes even then some of the changes can be disorienting. Gas and other forms of GI interaction with the Kundalini can produce a bloated sensation. As well as sleep variations and some physical qualities of discomfort that will sometimes accompany these changes. ----------------------- ***Of course if you feel you are having a medical condition you must seek the advice of a qualified, U.S.government recognized, medical authority.*** , Bill <astronutski wrote: > > > I have been experiencing some uncomfortable pressure/pain in the area of my sternum for the past several days. > > I constantly feel as though I need to take a deep breath as my breathing has become rather shallow. Guest guest
dear BillNamasteI have thought of you this day and hope the chest problems are better. . . i hope you will go ahead and seek medical assistance. . .so often Kundalini does cause all kinds of symptoms that can not be explained medically. . .but with it being near your heart and effecting your breathing it would be so very wise to make sure there is not an underlying medical problem. . .Bill it was very common for me to have gurgles through my heart with the movement of kundalini when the central column opened, at first was concerned i was having heart problems for it felt like air bubbles were being burped through the the heart chambers. . .a very strange sensation. . . .Bill since you also are going through a period of going off pain killers, you might be going through withdrawl and that might be part of the energy drain. . .and the pain killers might have been covered up a medical problem with your hiatus or lungs. . .so i am hoping you have it checked by your medical doctors. . .dear soul. . .i know this must be some of your own consideration, but just want to encourage you to have this checked medically first. . . .and then we can speak to the kundalini issues once those are addressed.sending your good thoughts of peace and comfortordinary sparrow , Bill <astronutski wrote:>> > I have been experiencing some uncomfortable pressure/pain in the area of my sternum for the past several days.> > I constantly feel as though I need to take a deep breath as my breathing has become rather shallow. Guest guest
Hi Bill! I have had similar issues over the past several months. It continues with new symptoms recently where I can't sleep on my left side, only the right. I've also had this bubbling /fluttering feeling going through my heart. I went and had my heart checked just to be sure that there was no problem. For peace of mind, I would recommend doing this and then you can rest easy in that this is just a part of your K process. Hope you feel better! Guest guest
Hi Bill, I am sorry to hear of your difficulty, and just like the others on the site are suggesting, its wise to get it checked out. That said, I had a difficult heart opening around a year and a half ago. I had many of the symptoms everyone else had, including shortness of breath, gasping, gurgling in the heart, feeling like bubbles of water was trickling about, and at times a violent beating between my rib cage that sometimes threw my body around. This intensified over around a 4 week period, where I became progressivly more tired as the kundalini worked its way and my unconsious resistance layer pushed back harder harder, and I felt as though I was trapped in the middle of an inner war. Things got very dark internally as the root of the block was neared, and finally, I surrendered to the unknown through guidance I had from a dream. The result, though, was immersion in non-dual love when my heart finally opened, and I started to experience everything as though it was bathed in a fine golden mist, and the entire world seemed soft. I would stand at the metro just crying for the beauty and love that seemed to shine through all beings and suspend, hold and caress even the most sick, the oldest, the poorest or the handicapped, in ways that they could not see yet. are you having any dream activity related to this? love Bruce
