Guest guest
Hi Bill, I am sorry to hear of your discomfort. I had a water bed for years and it was the best thing and then suddenly, it wasn't supportive enough. I changed to an air bed. It fits in my waterbed frame. I put an egg crate piece of foam on top of it so that it is not cold. I swear by the Aero bed " premere " . Here is the link: http://www.thinkaero.com/category/1/store_ProductCategory.html They are like a poor man's number bed as they have an auto inflate or deflate button. They have cells inside so you don't sag. I don't know if this will help or not, but I love mine so much that I couldn't resist mentioning it. I hope you are feeling better, Pat , Bill <astronutski wrote: > > > I have been experiencing some uncomfortable pressure/pain in the area of my sternum for the past several days. > > I constantly feel as though I need to take a deep breath as my breathing has become rather shallow. You know how sometimes you feel the urge to take a really, really deep inhale to expand your chest/lungs, and then there is a great relief? Well, that is exactly what I'm talking about, but I get that urge/need about twice a minute. > > This is new, the past two nights I have tried to sleep, almost as soon as I lay in bed my chest begins to hurt pretty bad, like it's being crushed, and the sternum area is very sensitive. I have managed to fall asleep both nights around 11:00pm and both nights I woke at 1:29am. The first night I lay awake for an hour or more with this pain bothering me, and eventually fell asleep. Last night I moved out to the couch and fell asleep there. > > I have been trying to ween myself from my pain meds (back) although I've never had chest problems/pains. Last night I took a dose at 1:30 after getting up and some Tums (having a lot of upset stomach problems too) and fell asleep relatively fine. > > I do not know what to expect tonight, it seems there is no position that is comfortable, on my back or either side, or a twisting combo of the two. I've tried everything but standing on my head. This is in my waterbed that I've had for 10+ years and absolutely love, can't live without. Now all of a sudden it seems to aggravate me. Don't know if it's the bed or me. > > and others: Have you any light to shed or advice to offer? > > Thank you very much, > With humble appreciation, > Bill >
