Guest guest
Yes thats right, in the Pacific ocean no less. Thirty years ago I did this and was very pleasantly surprised and just recently was able to do this again. Its very Zen for me. I chose a place that allowed only water and white sand to be washed and moved by the force of the the waves as they crashed above. Laguna Beach in Southern California has a current of water that is clear and blue green in its color. So in this case the water was that blue green underwater " air " and the white of the sand was creamy and moving. It gave me pause. I looked up at the " sky " above me and " saw " the shimmering reflections of the air breathing world and felt my sudden duality then calmly returned to the incredible peace and beauty of this familiar and strange landscape. I was not alone. Everywhere microscopic life forms swirled through the waters. They danced and played through my hair and upon my skin. The sand carried by the waves caressed me in its travel along the continental shelf. The sound of the sea came as a distant crash of water upon itself and of a deeper silence that stretched out before me. I drifted into peace and arose into the land of the thin water sun. -
