Guest guest Posted May 11, 2009 Report Share Posted May 11, 2009 Today we had breakfast on the deck over looking the mountains and gorges. The two cats followed Zach about and just stared at me - we did some house cleaning duties and then drove to Whiterock to the house I will be staying in. It is a large house on 3 acres of open area filled with juniper, sage bushes and cacti. Kind of out in the middle of no where - not very populated. There is much driving in this area - things are not close - there is not much traffic that we have encountered- We unloaded the car- Zach rested while I tried to unpack some- we then took a short drive to Overlook park - there is a stand at the end of the park where one can look out unto miles of area- we took pics and will download them as well as others - Zach went out on the rocks to get a better view - I will have to get hiking boots for there are cacti and rattle snakes in the area. We are relaxing - Tomorrow we head out to Bannelier Monument - It is a national park and there is a water fall there that we hope to visit - there are also many hot springs in the area and lots of small towns - I am looking forward to seeing these- Thank you all for being so accepting of our trip- it has been an interesting trip--- e Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
