Guest guest
I am working a temp job for the summer and each day I drive about 15 miles up the hill to Los Alamos. Along the route there are views of mountains of all shapes and sizes and hues. I am fascinated by the changing colors of these mountains and I really get frustrated that I have to concentrate on the road and can not really look at the scenery. The mountains here are an orange color of sand and the stones are pinks/browns/orange and white - when there is a storm coming in or it is raining the mountains take on a black color- so against the sky one sees black outlines of mountains against the multi blue sky- there is one section of the road where I am drving right toward a mountain and I swear I want to go right thru it and feel I can - as I stated before every thing about me is " more " the mountains jump out toward me and beckon me to meld with them- this area was formed by a volcanoe ( I may have mentioned this) and as the earth distributed the volcanic ashe there were many formations as well as caves formed - I imagine living in the caves or Native Americans or early travelers stopping to rest save from predators and the elements- there was a horrendous fire here a few years back - the mountains burned all around Los Alamos and evne some houses werer destroyed. I see one area where the trees are still standing and it one did not look closely it would appear to be a healthy forest yet - the trees are burned about 1/2 to 2/3 up the trunks the tops are green - and then on many of the mountains there is a green blanket of newly growing foliage while there are what appear to be toothpicks( burned trees) lined up like rows of plants - it looks so alien yet it is a rebirth of the earth - a cleansing of the area- I can see where the fire ended on the mountain just in the lower half it stopped or was stopped- the trees are lush and multicolored. No matter how many times I see a rock formation it just seems new and wonderous- I could look at these mountains forever and never fully see all they have to offer in shapes, textures and beauty- Georgia O'Keefe made Northern NM her home for years - the beauty of the place is captured to a small degree in her paintings and the colors are never ending - there is a spiritual quality in the area - I feel closer to the earth - and to the universe here - it is a far different feeling than I experience by the sea - by the sea there is an endless quality to the feeling here it is more a feeling of being held or cradled- does that make any sense?? Just wanted to share - oh yes and the sky is unbelievable in its varied presentations of color and formation of clouds - I could get lost in the views - and it is sooooooooooo nice that everything is so up close and in my face and so true to colors - so much " more " there was a fella on the side of the road as I drove into my area - his bike was on the ground so I stopped and asked if he was ok - he was waiting for the bus - he was taken aback when I said if it does not come give me a call and I will give you a ride - he said he lived back in LOS ALAMOS- a bit of a drive but hey - it is NM and that is what folks do here - they stop and help - I am acting like a native NM I feel safe with offering service I figure anyone who bikes these hills can not be in any way a negative person- Namaste e

Guest guest
To my surprise there is a monsoon season here in NM- it has rained much since I have been here and I love it - and now there will be storms with lots of lightning and thunder - the heavens let loose and clean the air which is at times crisp and refreshing yet I smell and feel the dust when it is dry- there is a red fine layer of dust on everything - and I do not like the idea that I am breathing it - yet even with the dust I see all around me clearly and all is very true- the sun - now that is a glorious rendition of natural radiation - a little joke here in atomic land - I am wondering how the testing of the atom bomb has affected the folks around here, the land, the water( a lady who was staying in the house here said she read that the water has plutonium in it - would not surprise me at all- and all I could think of was how much radiating I am doing with my K flowing in a plutonium atmosphere - maybe I will develop a florescent hue - the sun - I crave the sun - I seem to be cold here and the sun warms me -the sunsets are very very colorful and I am not sure where the painted desert is but this area certainly would qualify- the colors - I only briefly touched upon the colors - as they change with the weather and the reflection of the sun- I forgot to mention I feel a constant flow of K day and night - it varies in intensity - it feels really good and I am grateful for the presence- there are not many people here at all - 14,000 in Los Alamos - sante fe although larger than Los Alamos is relatively a small city. So for me there is not much chance of really connecting with K folk-for now that is fine yet I really hope to be able to discuss openly the K path and meet others interested in it - there seems to be a large contingency of Kundalini Yoga folks I have not made an effort to meet them but I plan to - there is a center near here and the group seems to be teaching all over including the community education in the college. It is very difficult for me to keep closed mouthed when it comes to K I miss discussing the program and the journey. That is why I do so appreciate all of you- good news is I openly discuss K with my cousin who is my godchild and her daughter who is my godchild and named after me - I call her little - i was amazed when the other night i took she and a friend home and we talked for two hours all about K and their views and how they are really into all things metaphysical - my cousin is 15 and her friend is 17- I could not believe how much they knew about so many things- and they are so accepting of alternative paths - little 's mother and father are into the Wicca society - so she does come by acceptance and tolerance naturally- it was just so good to be able to answer their ?'s and have them make connections - Sorry this is so long - I am worn out from the week working with kids and am sooooo tired I am having trouble sleeping - Blessings to all of you - may you find a smile upon your face and in your heart... e
Guest guest
Eloro Yes, there is a monsoon in AZ and NM and it actually extends up into CO and WY. (I am a meteorologist). It is unusual for NM to be so wet this time of year, and May and June are usually the dry season, when most of the fires happen. I worked on the management team that organized the strategy to put out the fire they had there several years ago. The monsoon " usually' doesnt start until late June/early July and lasts into Aug. Guest guest
I so love monsoons and hurricanes and dramatic weather. Not the damage that they do merely the gift of it all. Your very lucky ! Most of the time when I want to go somewhere (as you know) its always sunny or gets that way or I am leaving the area just as its getting good!. - (sigh) - lol! - chrism , " Kevin " <buffalo-kevin wrote: > > Eloro > > Yes, there is a monsoon in AZ and NM and it actually extends up into CO and WY. Guest guest
Dear Elero, Synchronicity on your post is amazing. Last night I was talking to someone about a trip I took to the islands of Hawaii exactly 9 years ago to the day. I was reminising about Diamond Head and how it changed colors as the day went on with the positioning of the sun and clouds. I have never seen anything like it. The colors changed from brown to yellow to blue and purple and so on. Then I reflected on the lush tropical forests, the scent of the plumeria in bloom, the birds and peacefulness. I went on remembering the most spectacular sunsets over the clear blue waters and how the full moon reflected upon the water shining like diamonds. The rainbows around every corner of the sky... I close my eyes and I am there once again. I truely believe that my K was awakened on this trip. I started to feel the energy of the islands. It was suttle at first, but as each day passed I felt it more and more. A peace fell over me. I knew in my heart that I belonged there. I felt one with the land. And as you stated Elero, I felt a longing to meld into the surroundings. A knowing that I belonged there. I was sad when it came time to leave. In fact, I suffered 2 months of depression upon my return. I remember thinking I could die there and I would be happy. Hawaii felt like home to me. Now I live in Florida. I have the ocean and warm weather, but it's not the same as the islands I once visited. The energy is not the same. I am originally from PA and now miss the mountains and parks I used to visit, but I don't miss the snow! But the trees.....I miss. Sorry I rambled on, but I just wanted to share our synchronicity. Thank you for sharing! Love & Light, Christine , " " . wrote: Along the route there are views of mountains of all shapes and sizes and hues. Guest guest
Christine: I lived in Florida for 16 years and loved it - the warmth the water the gorgeous sunsets the rain in the summer the gators the birds oh my the birds - I am an Aquarius and love love water and yes I feel the need to be in certain areas. It is peaceful here and I am enjoying it yet I miss the water - to have both mountians and water would be ideal - perhaps one day- I like that you were thinking of your soul home as I am feeling a new place of beauty. I know in my heart that I am at home wherever I am yet it is so nice to be surrounded by such grounding material- that is what it comes down to - near water I am uplifted - dreamy - light - here I am feeling more stable - I think all my moving about is for a reason - to build my immune system- to relate to the different earth formations and foliage- to meet and greet the people and learn how to interact with them and to feel how myself is accepted and reacts in different places- there are many lessons here and in all the areas I have stayed these past two years - and another thing I have noticed as I drive about I image the peoples before and how they interacted with the land - I feel the ancestors here - much more than other places except when in Italy - my K activated there amongst my ancestors on my father's side - my soul longs to be there once again with that energy - one day .... I long to keep moving about yet would like to stay here for a time- I will know soon if this is a stop over - I have the wander lust - had it all my life but only honored the feeling in the past two years since K came to me - now a traveling fool am I- Enjoy your memories as I do of all the places I have been - Hawaii- yes I would love the water and the sun and the foliage- flowers and birds and sea creatures- Good remembering... e

Guest guest
Hi Christine, I know how you feel about Hawaii and lived there for three and a half years before moving here to Southern CA and it is a very magical place and very beautiful! Used to surf there and really got spoiled surfing there compared to here and surfed at San Onofre when moving here and the water was so cold and dirty compared to Hawaii. I felt depressed like you did when coming back from Paris and ended up going to London two weeks later because I missed Europe so much and hope to get back to Europe one day and felt like I belonged in Paris when arriving there and it felt like home to me.
