Hi Guys,

I can usually work out what my vivid and colourful dreams mean but one I had at

the w/e confounds me.

It was a 'normal' dream then suddenly my 88yr old mum appeared peddling quickly

on a bike. On it was a broken ladder and the broken tip of the ladder went

straight through me. I woke up startled as I felt the pain as the spike went in.

It was the solar plexus area and I have had to sleep with a hot water bottle on

the area as its still painful.

I feel there was a message in this? Any ideas?

Thanks, Skydancer x

Namaste

dear Skydancer

interesting dream. . .would love to hear what it means for you and what

you have made of it. . . .

these are just some associations that come, and they might or might not

fit, but will write them out and you can see if they might bring forth

something that might trigger your own knowing of what is for you as you

consider . . .

88 year old mum riding in on a bicycle. . .

could this have something to do with the personal mother?

or is the dream bringing forth the crone within you that is showing you

where some block might be these days for you with the K?

or in your relationship with your mother are there third chakra issues?

trauma or abuses of the third chakra

shaming

authoritarianism

volatile situations

domination of will

physical abuse, dangerous

environment,fear of punishment

enmeshment

age inappropriate responsibilities

(such as parentified child)

inherited shame from the parent

issues of the third chakra

energy

activity

autonomy

individuation

will

self-esteem

proactivity

power

Physical malfunctions of the third chakra

eating disorders

digestive disorders, ulcers

hypoglcycemia, diabetes

muscle spasms

muscular disorders

chronic fatigue

hypertension

disorders of stomach, pancreas,

gallbladder, liver

Healing Practices

risk taking

grounding and emotional contact

deep relaxation and stress control

exercise

martial arts

sit ups

psychotherapy to build ego strength, release or contain anger, work on

shame issues, strengthened the will, encourage autonomy.

Affirmations

I honor the power within me

I accomplish task easily and effortlessly

The fire within me burns through all blocks and fears

I can do whatever i will to do.

Skydancer these come from Eastern Body Western Mind Anodea Judith and

maybe you could do a check to see if you are being shown there are third

chakra issues that need releasing. . .???. . .

also with the ladder i think of how the chakra are often spoken as the

highway to heaven and that awakening is often spoken of climbing steps.

.. .and a ladder would represent that as well, i think. . .the ladder

seems like it could well be symbolic of the chakra's in K Ma???

i stopped and looked up ladder symbolism in dream. . .

"

Ladder Dream Meaning

Psychological Meaning: A ladder may represent the different levels of

consciousness between man and his divine self. It is a symbol of

achieving personal wholeness. As a worldly symbol, climbing a ladder may

represent progress such as achieving status, power or an important goal.

Descending a ladder may represent the opposite or an escape

<http://www.dreamsleep.net/meaning-of-escape-dream.html> from your

spiritual responsibilities.

Mystical Meaning: The Biblical story of Jacob's ladder is a symbol

for the communication between this world and the spiritual realms.

Similarly, in Mesopotamia the Ziggurat was named `the ladder to

heaven'. In psychological terms this mystic symbolism can be

understood as the communication between the true self and the ego.

Consider this quote from Twitchell: " The higher one climbs on the

spiritual ladder, the more he will grant others their own freedom and

give less interference to another's state of consciousness. "

so wonder is there is a mother trauma or could you be carrying your

mom's shame trauma and this is blocking the ascent for you these days?

or maybe the crone appeared in your dream to show you the blocks. . .i

love crone dreams because the old crone has a way of getting straight

to the point, (no pun intended). . .but this dream was rather a strong

" get the point " . . .????

have you been in denial or maybe sweeping under the carpet any third

chakra issues?

Skydancer these are just some questions i might ask. . .and yes placing

water to sooth the fire seems nuturing. . .hope you get to feeling

better soon. . .and may you deeply claim the beauty, goodness, and

blessing of you dear sister. . .you are blessed with K Ma and she has

you constantly in her heart and grace. . .there is nothing that she

cannot transform. . .i would just encourage you to ask your heart what

it most deeply desires and then move towards that no matter how many

messages you might be assaulted with that you are either too much or

not enough. . .you have what it takes to be a strong vibrant child of

the Mother. . .and not anything from the past can hold you dear sister.

.. .this i trust and hold with you. . .

much love

dear Skydancer,

if this were my dream, I would view the ladder as reaching up for things I want.

I would ask how my mother (or grandmother) frustrated my desire to reach for

what I wanted or to become what I wanted, or maybe kept me down, and how that

resulted in both pain and disempowerment.. and so how my desire to reach up or

become something became a source of pain..

this is just my perspective, and may or may not resonate with you..

love
