Teachers and Trust

In the paradigm of the Kundalini when one gives Shaktipat one is being given a

very sacred contract of education and experience to be given that is unique for

every person that receives this energetic signature from a teacher.

 

Kundalini is flowing through the teaching individual to others. This is a fact.

Kundalini is flowing through the teacher as an action of trust that " this

teacher is being held to the highest standards " even though from the opinion of

all cultures present this may not seem to be the case. Such as is often the

experience of Tantra.

 

The teacher must be able to back up their teachings with attitudes and actions

that are reflective of the Kundalini within and from that basis must a trust

also be given for that person as the Kundalini has given trust to that

individual. The Kundalini is what comes through that individual and in that way

is a trust of the individual given from a " higher authority. " Not to signify an

ego infatuation.

 

And yet we read of Gurus gone bad and the mind control and seeming enslavement

of the people who come to them.

 

How we understand the actions of those who would lead can be seen in the quality

of the truths they teach. My teachings to do not conform to many of the

religious belief systems practiced in the USA. They are " out there " from the

perspective of some. They are quite tame in the perspective of others.

 

Integrity is a matter of perspective but it must have a basis in the truth of

those who choose to hear it or they would not hear it. The information wouldnt

be received.

 

As much as you can choose a teacher that can conform to the belief system you

personally espouse. Whether or not it is indicative of your culture.

 

With the Kundalini a person can be pushed to the extreme and if in that extreme

environment one does not have extreme trust in the teacher one can become lost

in that environment and in for a difficult time. Sometimes extremely difficult.

 

Kundalini will choose to express from both the inner individual and often

through one who has been given, through Kundalini, the path of a teacher.

Kundalini demands intense honesty and integrity as the practices as given from

the Kundalini through the teacher into the student or directly from the

Kundalini is challenging to the many ego held belief systems of our minds and of

this world.

 

So find teacher that you can trust with the most privileged information of your

soul. Be clear that your surrender to the Kundalini will happen as much through

them as it is through the Kundalini itself. So you must be able to trust them.

 

As one is given Shaktipat Kundalini flows through the teacher to the recipient

and from this level of interaction a contract of trust must be given. Trust and

permission and integrity must be recognized as they combine with your choice of

Whatever weight you put into people who claim to be " psychic " or gifted, I used

to see a woman who was absolutely on the money with my life every time she spoke

to me. Everything that's happened for the last two years she had already told me

about. She didn't do it for money, and she also helped people find missing loved

ones etc. She was a good, trustworthy person.

 

Well, I was told by that someone a year or two back, that I would be greatly

influenced and directed in my life by an older bearded man who I didn't really

know. Not being funny here but I'm suspecting that's you. (not suggesting you're

old of course chrism =p). I put my trust in you as someone who is shaping my

life for the better and giving me the gift of shaktipat, and I would feel

comfortable telling you about my life.

 

Im more grateful to you as a teacher than text posts on a forum convey. So just

a heads up to say thank you for everything so far and for accepting me as a

student.

 

Felt an overwhelming need to post this... hope it doesnt read back weird

afterwards lol

Yes - trust is a must have when it comes to choosing a guide. From the very

beginning I trusted chrism- I trust him with my life and I will state that I

would give him my life if needed or asked.

 

I have been reading many articles on the teacher/student relationship. I found

that I have been practicing a yoga entitled " guru yoga " named so in a particular

discipline. The practice includes complete surrender of the five bodies to the

teacher- the practice involves meditating on the teacher's face and being- it is

a complete and total offering of one's entire being to the teacher.

 

When I found this information I felt much better for I really thought there was

something wrong with me in that I have had this longing and compulsion to honor

my teacher in all ways. ME who has had an independent stubborn personality all

my long life. Now I understand some of the feelings. And I have had occasion

to discuss this aspect of teacher /student relationship with a seasoned martial

arts master. He understands what I have been feeling for it is the same feeling

that a martial arts disciple has for the sensei. Total devotion,respect,honor

and a longing to be with the master always.

 

To this end (i) wish to restate my surrender to chrism, my guide and to the

Kundalini that is offered through him.

 

my self will say first that (i) understand completely that by surrendering to

chrism (i) am in essence surrendering to my own Kundalini thru his Kundalini.

(i) however need the physical being to help me along the way - at least until my

(I) tells me to be independent.

 

my self surrenders to my teacher chrism and his teachings with my total being -

the emotional self,the mental capacities of this body, the psychological

(ego)qualities, and the spiritual thoughts and renderings. my self will bow to

his teachings and his directives in all matters with respect, immediacy,

enthusiasm and a non questioning demeanor. my self will follow his teachings

every minute of every day in every encounter with others and in my own personal

activities. my self will honor him by supporting his teachings and his KAS

program in all matters that arise. my self will be a representative of his

teachings and the KAS program in all my daily activities by following the

safeties intensely and engaging them in all encounters with others and with my

own activities.

 

(i) turn over all my possessions, my present and my future to the guidance of

chrism. (i) will follow his directives as he presents them in every and any

aspect of my life. (i) am no longer in charge of my life here on this earth.

It is my guide's to do with as he wishes. I am open to his directives in any

area of my life he chooses to be active in.

 

(i) state this with complete sincerity, honesty, and a sound mind. my self is

eternally grateful for this opportunity to be guided by a man of integrity. (i)

bow to the western lineage of chrism and will honor this lineage and chrism for

the rest of my earthly life and beyond.

 

My surrender is complete -

 

my self bows to the divine in you, dear master chrism- thank you from the center

of my heart -and thank you to Kundalini Shakti for allowing me the opportunity

to study with a chosen son.

Chrism et all,

I wish to say that since joining this group, I have been able to better

understand the manifestations, process and agenda of K. has been, and I'm

sure will always be, a compasionate, understanding, and loving brother, teacher,

and friend to us all. Thank you for all that you have done for me. It's

not a coincedence that I found this site or is it that this site found me .

As knows, I was given very strong 'energy' last year by someone whom I

thought was a friend...and it was done without permission and sent me in a quick

downward spiral. His work was applauded by a group of 'New Agers' that I was

mixed in....they used all their arsenals on me, due to their misunderstanding of

me....and they did this in such a childish and reckless way. There was and is

more damage done that anybody would want in their lives.

Having said that, I have seen the dark side. Being here seems so much more

refreshing and in the 'light'.

 

Chrism, my prayers are with you for all of this to just fade away into the past

as a small moment in you life. There's always room for more learning.

Ernie I am happy you found this group and now have some support from chrism and

all of us. You are not now alone in your journey and it is a wonderful journey

especially when you are in a group of like minded folks.

WE all have our demons - demons appear in many forms - and some have few or none

- it is all a matter of what is needed by use to grow and develop.

You are a survivor - congrads - Kundalini folks are strong in many ways and grow

stronger as they develop in the process. By forgiving you are able to grow with

a more deep knowledge that all is as it should be.

You are loved...by Kundalini Shakti and by your fellow family of K folk...

Thanks for your posts...at times I 'need' some reassurances that I'm moving in

the right direction.

In the last year I have dug deep into my mind to unravel all process and

programming that has occurred in my life. One that screams out is that for

anything I do, I look for approval from others...so if someone labels me,

there's something inside me that says " Well, they must know more than me, so

they must be correct!! " Don't know where it stems from, nor do I care...I just

know that it is great need of repair. I guess all the labelling that was going

on, I take it in as a learning experience(s) and believe me, Shatki spared no

mercy on me...hit me like a 2 ton truck.

My learning and information that I received for K pretty much came from this

group and the KAS-1 website. The amount of information is tremendous...but what

I enjoy the most is reading all the posts and especially the advice,

recommendations, directions, etc, etc...that comes from Chrism.
