Guest guest
By being here and in this group, and participating in this group, as well as inside of the Scatterfield, and Shaktipat, you are already inside of a Rapid Format Awakening. Not everything should be instantaneous. Keep up your practice and look at your service and surrender aspects of the practice and inform me of where these are in your approach to the safeties. - blessings Dan! - chrism , " Om " <mysticaldan wrote: > > Hi Chrism, > Is it possible for me to go through the Rapid Format Awakening? Guest guest
Hi, Sorry for replying so late. Yes I am practising the safeties and from the surrender point I am at the point wherein everything that I have is almost like not mine. I am a SIkh by religion and there is an old poem handed over to us. Translated it roughly means, " There is nothing that is mine, Everything is Yours, To give away what has always been yours what effort does it take of mine? " So i stand at a point wherein the ego keeps flashing itself on and off and i stand witness seeing it express itself in the form of jealousy, anger and possessiveness but I can see that this is to no avail and in vain. The mind continues to battle and i am a mute spectator. I am unable to find the form of surrender in this jungle of mails but for me there is nothing further than to ensure that my existence is dedicated towards the rising of the K and to ensure that Shiva and Shakti are in union to liberate me. If that means the burning away of every part of me then so be it. For many births have I lived this existence and have done all of this infinte times and there is no end to this. Its time to Stop. While doing the 5 Tibetans particularly the 5 Tibetan i feel a strong pressure on my Third Eye area and a couple of days back it was strong enough for me to stop on the 5th movement as i felt someone had poked a red hot rod through my forehead. After a few minutes it was fine. Subsequently it is not so strong but i can feel a slight pressure on the Third Eye region. Nothing on the other chakras. Stomach is acting up a bit but I am going on a fast from tommorow to coincide with the Shaktipat and hopefully i shud be able to make it thru the 3 day fast although my work timings are changing and that will make it extrememly difficult to complete but i will certainly try. I have been abstaining from sex for about a week now and will continue to do so till the duration of the Shaktipat unless my wife demands so. I have had a weird dream last night about some bad entities trying to pull me into a void but I kept chanting Om Namah Shivaya all the time and that kept them from taking me away so to speak. I am not sure if this has any relevance to anything. I do have violent dreams at times and wake up with a sick feeling in my stomach. I cant stand violence and tends to throw me off balance very badly. Is there anything in particular that you suggest I do? Guest guest
Dan, Thank you for sharing the translation of the beautiful Sikh prayer. It reminds me of a song my sisterfriend Teresa from Santa Fe often sings in the lodge. It's a prayer song. I think it captures the essence of what we do in ceremony, and in walking the spiritual path. All my life I give to you, Mother Earth and all her children. Give away what I give to you. All my life I give to you, Mother Earth and all her children. All my love I give to you, Mother Earth and all her children. Give away what I give to you. All my love I give to you, Mother Earth and all her children. All my joy I give to you, Mother Earth and all her children. Give away what I give to you. All my joy I give to you, Mother Earth and all her children. All my hope I give to you, Mother Earth and all her children. Give away what I give to you. All my hope I give to you, Mother Earth and all her children. Peace, Shaz " Om " <mysticaldan wrote: I am a SIkh by religion and there is an old poem handed over to us. Guest guest
I have a lot of dreams. (A recent Reuters article talked about how we process emotions via dreams. http://reuters_th.adam.com/content.aspx?productId=16 & pid=16 & gid=30864) I've also had my share of violent/gory dreams; one time I woke from one and thought that if I so much as moved a finger I would vomit. This recent one also talks of two guys trying to get me to fall into the void/oblivion: I was being interviewed for a job rather far from my home. Finding my way to the workplace was fairly easy, but after the interview I wandered all over before finally finding my way home. Then the next day when I went to work, again, I got there easily enough, but at the end of the day when it was time to go home, I was confused as to which way to go. It was like a maze with thousands of other people making their way back home, too. I asked a woman for directions to the North-South subway, and she pointed and told me. But I couldn’t see exactly what she was pointing to, so I went closer to have a look. There was a moving walkway that I got off of so that I could stand still and look around. While I was looking two guys came up to me and asked what I was looking for. I told them I was trying to find the entrance to the N-S subway to go home. They pointed to a small, unmarked door. I went over and opened it. It opened to complete darkness with no steps, i,e, one step and I’d fall into black oblivion. I told them there was no way that was the way to the subway I wanted. I knew enough that the entrance to a major subway would not be a small, unmarked doorway that opened into complete darkness. I wouldn’t go in but went back to where I was standing and continued to look around. Guest guest
Namaste dear Dan there is so much wisdom in the Sikh prayers, music and sacred writings which has been such a blessing for my path. . . i am sure you know of this poem, prayer, song, teaching. . .all wrapped into to one. . .but will post it anyway for i it is so very rich. . . Oh, my mind practice Yoga in this way: Let the Truth be your horn, sincerity your necklace, and meditation the ashes your apply on your body. Catch your burning soul, and stop the flames. Let the soul be the alms bowl in which you collect the sweet Naam, and this will be the only support that you will ever need. The Universe plays its divine music. The sound of reality is shrill, but that is where God is. When you listen to the reality from this place of awareness the sweet essence of Raag arises. Waves of melodies, emotions, and Passions arise and flow through you. Bind yourself with the song of God. The Universe spins like a potter's wheel and from it fly both demons and angels. The sage listens to this and instead of getting caught in either one, the sage drinks in the nectar of the heavens and is carried to the heavens in a divine chariot. Instruct and cloth yourself with self-control. Meditate unto infinity unto you are meditating without meditating. In this way, your body shall remain forever golden, and death shall never approach you. *Written by Guru Gobind Singh, I love the imagery of " the Universe spins like a potter's wheel and from it fly both demons and angels. The sage listens to this and instead of getting caught in either one, the sage drinks in the nectar of the heavens and is carried to heavens in a divine chariot. . . . Dan i hear your commitment to Truth and your process and it is most beautiful and know K Ma will direct and take you where you need to go. . ..can feel the strength of your fire. . .and just intuitively wonder if the energy of water has been coming to you?. . .i am seeing pictures of water washing over you with the allowance for more flow into the process .. . .i also seeing the Tao Te Ching text with the water???. every heroic warrior takes the journey to find the receptiveness leading to the ultimate surrender. . . . honor and peace ordinary sparrow , " Om " <mysticaldan wrote: > > > > " There is nothing that is mine, Everything is Yours, To give away what has always been yours what effort does it take of mine? Guest guest
Namaste dear Ordinary Sparrow, Yes indeed its certainly no coincidence for me to have been born to this religiona nd i have absorbed much from it, although like most religions this too suffers from a lot of orthodox practices but still the teachings provide a lot of wisdom as you said. The poem that you say is indeed beautiful. A lot of teachings from Guru Nanak are what I would call the real essence of spirit IMHO. I am not sure I understand what you mean by the energy of water. I do drink a lot of water from as long as i can remember. Its like I am perennially thirsty <lol>. My brother actually nicknames me a camel since i drink a lot of water and then as usual keep running to the washroom every once ;-) The Tao Te Ching??!! I am not sure why or how that should be seen. I have not read that book. Is there something it should have that I should be familiar with? Let me try a random verse from it and see what synchronicity has in store for me. Hmm thats strange the verse that comes up is also related to water: " There is nothing in the world more soft and weak than water, and yet for attacking things that are firm and strong there is nothing that can take precedence of it;--for there is nothing (so effectual) for which it can be changed. Every one in the world knows that the soft overcomes the hard, and the weak the strong, but no one is able to carry it out in practice. " Is there a message for me there? Maybe might be able to shed some more light as well.
