Guest guest
Hi Rich , for your eyes only ok?a regular conversation could be better but we're posting here .. and I can just try to share a few thoughts on that very good question. imh experience with starvation, and fasting, fasting is like a meditation done throughout the day times 3 days in a row, if this is the Fast for Shaktipat. Starving can be a seriously unhappy roller coaster ride psychically or Karmically if the K has infused the body and the brain does not an extra job to do such as digestion. With the Safeties there's all that love, gratitude, forgiveness and inner state of mind that you're coming into the Shaktipat with. Only reason for comparing starvation with fasting, is to remember what the body's response is to food. Everyone knows what he or she wants to do this weekend in his or her God Gracious freedom. Shakti knows the mind, the physiology of the body, the brain, the emotion in the heart, the secret door to you (universal)... She wants in. Letting the brain rest from having to perform the digestive processes repeatedly as in the case of someone who is not taking care of their diet and eating habits, allows the brain to receive Shakti and do the beauty there and all the different things in the body. I hope this can be little message to be happy and at peace no matter what you want. Joyful freedom this weekend, love, Anna Pyaar333 Tue, 16 Jun 2009 21:28:00 +0000 fasting questions I posted this in the wrong place by accident. I meant to have it as new post. So here it is, The fast, a question Why do we fast? And do I really need to do it? Is it about cleansing? I have been cleansing for over 25 years. I do a major cleans at least once a year. I have done almost every type of cleans you can imagine; 3 weeks fasts (several dozen times), colonics, liver flush, herbal programs, homeopathic, etc. I am vegetarian and eat mostly organic food and do a one day a week fast along with a colon cleans (I use colozone and phylium seed husks , wow!) Is it a show of dedication? I am dedicated, I won't list the ways. I find fasting taxing at this point. I can do it but…I just don't feel the need. (I don't mean that I am lazy. I am sensing/feeling that I do not need it.) Am I wrong? Is the fast an important part of the Shaktipat? Will I be missing something if I don't fast? Will I receive the Shaktipat better if I do fast? The fast always seems to fall on a holiday, this time fathers day. Not seeing or eating with my father and my wife's fathers is difficult. It is a stress for other around me, my wife and family. In a perfect world I would be able to totally cater to myself and devote myself to my family. But it is not a perfect world, so I do what I can. rich _______________ Bing™ brings you maps, menus, and reviews organized in one place. Guest guest
Dont do the faste Rich. I agree with Anna's comments and it does indeed have metabolic value and the isolation of experience embedded into the process is good but it isnt for everyone. You are doing fine as you are doing right now so no worries. Remember the individual approaches to the Kundalini are many and its not a " conveyor belt " type of awakening process for people. We are not the same in all ways. Your needs are different than anyone elses so go with your feelings and intuitions Rich. - blessings to you. - chrism
Guest guest
Great, thanks! I have not been enjoying the fast. I feel that it " should " be a vacation from food and the mundaneness of eating and metaphorically a clearing out of the old in preparation for the new…K Shaktipat. I have done lots of that kind of work/play, Now I don't feel the need to fast, I still do my one day a week fast and feel it is of great value, but one day is long enough for me. More than one day feels like suffering. I hold the sacredness of the Shaktipat with or without fasting. rich
