Guest guest
I forgot to post this after our last camping trip! I love nature and love camping out in the middle of nowhere. Well, we have camped at this one spot a few times before, it is our favorite. Upon arriving, I set my tent up and went about literally, chopping wood and carrying water, lol. Well, when I went back to my tent later in the day I noticed a huge bug in a little tree that overhung my tent. It was NOT THERE when I set up the tent because I hung my sweatshirt, hat and backpack there. What was intriguing about this bug was how black it was, and it didn't move at all (although it got there somehow). Well, over the course of the next few hours I watching in amazement as this big black bug carcass gave way to a beautiful baby butterfly/locust thing!!! It didn't hit me until later that HOLY COW! This thing did it's major life transformation RIGHT ABOVE MY TENT, while I'm inside the tent basically going through my own transformation! It was quite a shocking moment when it hit me like that. Still makes me smile... I've uploaded several pics of it's transformation in the photos section under a new album called " Bill's Album " and is awaiting approval by Chrism. So I don't have a direct link to the pics yet. I will update when the pics are online. Oh! And we found a fossilized snake rock!!!!!!! Until the pics are approved here, you can see them here at my site: http://www.mitchellsportsphotography.com/camp090522.html Just thought I'd share that story, it sure is special to me to be part of that bug's transformation. Love, Bill M.
Guest guest
Wow, Bill, that's really cool. It looks like a faery sprouted over your tent! Is that your son with the Nunnehi hockey stick? He's got K eyes...I bet all kinds of interesting things go on in your house! Blessings on you and your family. You seem like a zesty bunch of fun-filled explorers! Peace, Shaz > Just thought I'd share that story, it sure is special to me to be part of that bug's transformation. > Love, > Bill M. >
Guest guest
Hi Shaz, Thanks for the comments. Yes that was quite an interesting camping trip. That indeed is my son, but what does " Nunnechi " mean? And what do you mean " he's got K eyes " ? You are correct though, I've always had premonition dreams, and he tells me constantly about his that do come true, it is interesting. My daughter " talks " to her dead grandparents (who died before she was born), and now my wife for the first time in her life had a premonition dream just a few days ago. Things are really heating up in my house, lol. I can't express in words how strongly I love camping in the wilderness. If I ever could afford to buy some land out in the country I would live in a tent on the property, lol. For those that are curious, I do have more camping pictures with some basic writeups aimed at the new campers on my site. Not for you guys, but my wife has some friends just getting started so I figured I'd put something up there for them. It's in its infancy, so don't expect a master project, lol. Here's the main Camping page portal: http://www.mitchellsportsphotography.com/outdoors.html Thanks again! Love, Bill , " shaktiaz " <shaktiaz wrote: > > > Wow, Bill, that's really cool. Guest guest
Hi Bill: I think it's Nunnehi. " little people " . This is so amazing-beautiful and mystical. To me, it appears to be a dragonfly. -Danielle , " astronutski " <astronutski wrote: > > Hi Shaz, > Thanks for the comments. Guest guest
Wow! Bill that is really cool. The snake rock, what a find. The bug looks like it turned into a dragon fly. That is what it looks most like to me, but I didn't know dargonflies do that, so that may not be what it is. It doesn't look like the locust we have here. Really cool pictures! Guest guest
Hi Bill, What beautiful children you have!! You will have to beat their suitors away from the door in a few yrs. time. Love the pictures and it was very good of the lizard to pose for you. Blessings, Skydancer x , " shaktiaz " <shaktiaz wrote: > > > Wow, Bill, that's really cool. Guest guest
I guess what I thought about Nunnehi is apparently incorrect. I apologize...it is just my personal thought in reference to what I know as a child and folklore. I meant no harm; didn't intend to provide any misinformation, or to speak on behalf of another. -Danielle , " iamwaitingmoon " <iamwaitingmoon wrote: > > Hi Bill: > I think it's Nunnehi. Guest guest
Hi Bill- Thank you for the pictures and this beautiful nature story. It always seems in nature that the divine so easily shows itself. I often wonder if its just because we are more aware and not lost in thoughts. I love that it was over you. I hope it was a dragonfly...I am a crazy dragonfly lover! So happy you received this gift and that you shared it with us! I LOVE nature stories because that is where I feel most at peace, most alive, most aware, feels like stepping into a magical secret place...so happy you and your family had such a beautiful experience there! Much love to you and your family, Deb , Bill <astronutski wrote: > > > I forgot to post this after our last camping trip!
