Guest guest
Hello K People, I have had wonderful bird interactions and I have to share with someone! Thank goodness for all of you, I know you won't think I am delusional. The first bird encounter was many weeks back when gave us our sacred spot assignment. On my way back home I encountered a bird to the left of my path. He seemed oblivious to me, but did acknowledge me before returning to his foraging. Despite the dogs and I, he was very close. I watched with admiration until he eventually left. He was peaceful in his busyness. On a different day I pulled up to the yard and stopped to open the gate. As I stepped out from the car a robin came running over to me, chattering away to me. I figured the bird was injured... why would a bird run to me? I stopped, and she stopped. We both just stood there. I didn't know what to do for her so I closed my eyes and sent her love. After about 30 seconds I turned to quietly open the gate, then came back and carefully walked around her so I could get back into my car, and slowly drove away. When Patrick came home 5 minutes later I walked to the gate to open it for him and to ensure that she was not on the road. She was nowhere to be seen, and I am not so sure she was injured. Shortly after that I was " buzzed " repeatedly by a hummingbird, and twice the Starlings collected on a power line to chatter loudly at me (Starlings are not normally interested in people). Then a few days ago I went to catch my mare and noticed that the cow birds were all around her, foraging for insects displaced by her hooves. And a few were catching a free ride on her back. As usual they fly off as one unit without hesitation when I approach. Except for one bird. This one stayed on her back as I came closer. I eventually stopped to watch him and noticed he had something in his mouth. I was close enough to see that it wasn't an earthworm, it seemed to have stripes, it may have been a caterpillar. " Look at my abundance - feel the abundance. " But I somehow rationalized it's behaviour and carried on after he left. And then this past Saturday morning I was laying in bed feeling uninspired to get up. So I go into my analytical mode and wonder why I feel this way when I have a wonderful day-off ahead of me [ego: don't feel the joy or abundance for it will only be taken away from you]. Then I declare that I am sick of this and throw the covers back to start my day - to the great delight of the dogs as they don't like delays to the chore routine. I immediately head out to feed my mare, though not quite awake. When I turn the corner to go up the rock stairs a bird flies up from the stair in front of me. My little dog goes after the bird and I holler " No " assuming again that it is an injured bird. But the bird easily flew to the fence rail next to the rock stairs, placing herself eye level with me. As we looked into each others eyes I wondered why this bird was acting like this and admired the speckling on her chest (Hermit Thrush?). She was chattering away. And then it hit me, finally! The bird is here for me! A big smile is now on my face and I feel beautiful joy in my heart chakra. " Feel the joy Carla, feel the joy " When assured I was feeling the joy, she flew towards me... I did not even flinch... and she angled off over my left shoulder. I now get it!! My belief was that wondrous things only happen to other people and resisted the bird's messages. What beautiful gifts from the bird kingdom! On a different note, when I returned to my sacred spot a few weeks ago I noticed that the moss was kicked up. I thought it was odd as I was so careful when I was there. I even asked for permission from the moss before I laid on it. Slowly, as I looked up, the scene unraveled before me... a cougar had killed a deer at my sacred spot! Only the bones remained, but the remaining bits of flesh were still red. I felt like an intruder, but I was curious. The intestines were neatly placed in a pile five feet away. The entire spine was intact. The legs were gone. It was remarkable how adept they are eating everything, except bones and intestines. " Go Carla, you must leave " I turn to leave and arrive safely home, a short five minute walk. Anyways, long story short, I have promised Patrick that I would not walk alone in the woods again. I was quite annoyed that my freedom to walk in the wilderness around us was curtailed, though I knew it was for my safety. The cougar kill was a warning that when I enter nature it is her rules, not mine. And it is not a mere walk in the park. Bear, coyote and cougar sign are common on the property. So I never completed the sacred spot assignment, which is silly. More ego work to do. But I am over my pout, and Patrick and I walk together now. If you've made it this far... thanks for listening. I just wanted to share. With love and joy, Carla from Canada
Guest guest
Hi Carla, I loved your story. I have been waiting for the weather to warm up to finish my sacred walks. It has been unusually cold this summer, and when it has been warm enough, I have not been able to take the time. I also live on some " wild " forest. Lately the coyotes have been unusually close and we have been finding their droppings on top of rocks in between the house and garage, and two days ago 4' from the back door porch. This has never happened before. I am a bit worried they will try to lure one of our young dogs out and make a meal out of them as has been known to happen around here. We have two 14 month olds, two 10 year olds and three 6 year olds, our own line of australian shepherds. Also, the other day I was sitting in the living room of our home and a humming bird came up to a window and then went 3/4 of the way around the house trying to get in each window. I checked to see if there were any bright colored objects that might be attracting him, but there wasn't any. Birds are very special to me, I am especially in awe of owls and ravens. Both were in an OBE I had a few years back. Soaring with the ravens ;-) and later an owl on the ground watching me fly over head. I'm not sure I'm ready for any more OBE's but I surrender that over to my creator. If anyone has had an OBE that took them into the ocean I would love to hear about it. That was what freaked me out, I didn't want to go into the ocean. I was spared that experience, but now I wish I had not been over-come by the fear of it as it would have been incredible. Guest guest
Hi, Carla. I definitely get the hummingbirds buzzing my head, curious, I guess. I love the feel of the sharp wind off their wings on my face! I had an encounter with a fallen (stunned) owl once on a walk in the woods and it made such an impression on me. I helped it stand up (probably not wise) it looked at me for a bit then flew away. I loved that it felt warm and so soft. That feeling is burned into my memory. Right now I'm getting " feelings " , you could call it communication of a sort, from trees. Esp. the older trees. I'm loving it and being in a wooded area is like a security blanket on me. This is a new thing for me. I'm seeing what I can learn from it. All things have the ability to speak to those who have " ears " to hear. Be open to what is there. And for sure keep us posted!!! Guest guest
Namaste dear Carla very interesting. . .reminds me of a group of books by Ken Carey that lived in a remote setting and close to Nature. . .he was given a series of channeling messages. . .and the first book was Called Return of the Bird Tribes. . .it uses a Christian imagery mixed with Native Earth based spirituality, very powerful the words that where written in the 80's and now seem to be very accurate for our present time. . . love hearing your experience with the birds. . .i saw a mountain lion a few years back in the Flint Hills while out walking and it walked about twenty feet in front of me and crossed the path just stared at me but kept slowly walking. . .i stopped and was in awe then it hit me that maybe i should of been a bit more cautious. . .sounds like you live in a wonderful space of Mother Earth. . love and peace sparrow , " Carla & Patrick " <bowenhealth wrote: > > Hello K People, > > With love and joy, > Carla from Canada >
Guest guest
Valerie, that sounds wonderful about the trees. I've heard of trees communicating, let us know what you hear please. Pat, what great memories, flying with the ravens. Thank you for sharing. Sparrow, I read a few pages from the book you mentioned and I found it quite moving. I am going to order it. So much for my moratorium on books - which I instated when I realized how many books I had started. Oh well, I could have worse addictions. Guest guest
Hi, Carla! I have the book addiction, too, so you aren't alone (but you probably knew that). With the trees, the most important message I have gotten so far was to meditate on them once in a while, they are living beings, too and love our communication. But mostly I seem to get personality or emotion from them. I got absolute joy and laughter from one tree and actual sadness from another! That was a wake up, I can tell you. I'm still learning from this and trying to understand. Much to learn. But it's sure fun trying. Keep it up and tell us of anything new! This is all so great! Love, Valarie , " Carla & Patrick " <bowenhealth wrote: > > Valerie, that sounds wonderful about the trees. I've heard of trees > communicating, let us know what you hear please. Guest guest
Hi Carla, When I saw your post I had to read it immediately as I have ongoing experiences with the bird world. Your story was a pleasure to read and it's amazing how we are somewhat intertwined on this site. Just last week a saw my first hummingbird...it thought it was an extra large bumble bee but I caught a glimps of it as it hovered in front of my dogwood flowers. A day later, and after my son and my neighbours son showed me a handful of Robin eggs...they robbed them from the robin and I immediately told them to put them back and explained to them that what they did threw off the balance of nature in our area... " ok, ok dad we understand, we'll put them back " . The next day, I had the patio door open and I heard such a wonderful song of what I thought was A bird and it caught my attention as I couldn't remember hearing any such bird and was curious to see the type..well I was very surprised to see a flock (over 10) of robins on my fence, grass, garden just wailing away to say " Thank you " . A couple of years ago and when I was progressing further into my K awakening, I was visited by a pigeon that I have never seen before in my life, nor can find it anywhere in bird books or on the net. The pigeon was blue/grey in colour, but what was astonishing was that it had this large breast of purple feathers...they extended beyond by about 1 " . The bird was on my lower roof and just stared at me. I moved, it moved, but always stared at me. My son, my neighbour and her son were there to witness this and we were there in such awe and amazement. What was strange about this bird was that it had it's left leg up as it was injured...you mention that the birds you came across seemed injured...did they have any one of their leg up...maybe the left, signifying K...hmmmm. A couple of weeks after that, I was driving home on a busy 2 lane highway and there was this red tailed hawk in the middle of the road with it's left leg up...ok, this was getting weird. Living about an hour outside of Toronto, I'm blessed to be close to nature and it's abundance. Everyday, I'm reassured of my spiritual growth and evolution when I see mourning doves. When I pray in my mind as I drive, I'm usually, if not always, greeted by a dove flying over my path just to say " I hear you " . Apologize for being so long winded, but I wanted to share this story with you and all. Be Well and Blessings, Ernie , " Carla & Patrick " <bowenhealth wrote: > > Hello K People, > > I have had wonderful bird interactions and I have to share with
Guest guest
That was beautiful! I am thankful for this group where we can share the beauty and wonder of this world. It beats the news (which I don't listen to anyways). The birds I saw did not do anything with their leg, I think that may be meant for you. And they didn't appear injured, I just assumed they were injured because they were acting so odd. Thanks for sharing.... Guest guest
I've loved all the sharing on bird messages. i've had some odd bird experiences. After my mom died, one day i kept seeing a bird in my car side mirror. the third time i looked and it was still there, going 35 miles an hour, I turned to look and there wasn't a bird. on my walk this morning, the symphony of bird sounds was almost deafening! The owl i saw Saturday was a barred owl, one of few that have dark eyes. it was stunning. love and blessings on this third day of shaktipat, Jan , " Carla & Patrick " <bowenhealth wrote: > > That was beautiful! Guest guest
We have a lot of bird activity around my house, too. They like my backyard jungle I think. We had a bird show up that we did not know what it was. It had the colors and shape of a painted bunting, but the bright green was on it's head and the blue on it's back and red and yellow underneath. Does anyone know what kind of bird that is? When you walk out into my backyard you would think it was one of those bird sanctuaries. We have lots of butterfies and lizards too.
