Guest guest
Today I had a couple hours to myself in the late afternoon. I went out to pick the raspberries I have in my yard. (I transplanted some small plants from the mountain two summers ago.) Anyway, I was picking the berries when I noticed something on my hand. A small praying mantis! Lol... About 1 inch long. So I said hello for a moment, and then placed him on a big leaf near me. Pretty darn cute! I looked over to him a little later, eventually he went wandering off on the leaves. Nice to have one visit on the same day as I read about others experiences! Some nice spider action today too. A few were on me, on my shirt etc, as I had a walk up on the mountain. A couple of them seemed to have flown to make their web way out in the sky hanging from a tree somehow. They were just hovering out there nowhere near any branches... Seemed impossible where the web was. The bees are all around my neighbourhood as well. In a hilly area, there are lots of large walls as the roads move down the hilly parts. On these walls have grown all kinds of leafy vines. One variety the bees love collecting pollen from. Out my back door across the street is one of these walls. Sometimes when I'm leaving or coming home, I'm met with a large 'buzz sound'. It sounds like a highway not too far away. The first time I heard it I thought it was a machine somewhere in the distance. When I stand close to the wall I can watch them collecting the pollen and stand in the loud " hum zone " of thousands of bees busily working. Bzzzzzzzz.... Well off to do some work... I'll be making some organic raspberry muffins with those berries I picked later tonight too! Anyone coming to Seoul in the next few days? be well, bradly
