Guest guest
Hi ya Edgar, I mean Mr. Desireless...wait... not undesirable but desireless! (Just so we get that straight - I know the long line of creatures desiring you...could you ask them to move out of the street please? ) You know what Mr. Edgar Desireless; " What? " say you... Can we just laugh our way to enlightenment? I did the serious thing and that didn't work out so great...(spent some time hiding under the covers!ha) so do you know anyone that has laughed their way there? Anyone??? I know they talk about the laughing buddha but I suppose that was after he became self-realized... was it? When I was all serious - I mean when hard times came a callin' and I stopped laughing - it wasn't so pleasant for me - now I try to laugh about it, sometimes it takes some doing - it may not change things that much - although actually it really may have but anyway I seem to move through it quicker and its a lot more fun - so I wish to laugh through this life - this is a desire - i have many more - what is the difference between liking something and desiring? I mean if you desire something - like for example jetpacks to strap on to go flying about town - yes I'd like to see everyone with one - its a sorta fun desire but if it doesnt happen I'm okay with it - but on the other hand if I have to be really serious and disciplined so that it takes the joy out of living to attain enlightenment - well thats one desire that would be hard for me being that I'd probably end up just back hiding under the covers- Which leads me to my next question...I know when I'm in that stillness I'm not laughing - I'm happy though of course - so does that mean God/the divine/yourhigherself/ whatever you call it...does that mean there is no sense of humor there? Is laughing just an ego thing? I ponder this much - yes I should leave it for my Saturday night live ramblings and only touch lightly here but without ego (you know what I mean) is anyone laughing? Although the desire for happiness is probably the desire for enlightenment - so if I let go of the desire to be happy - shoot I'm back under my covers again! Or maybe the next step would be that of just peace. Right? I'm just being...thinking to devoting one day a week to just that! And actually I'm quite content just being - don't you wish I'd go off and just " be " right now??? Honestly right now I'm in my head tooooo much! haha I can be rather annoying, yes? EDGAR DONT YOU AGREE or I'll send Linda over to your place and have her do her n*ked cartwheels on your front lawn with a sign reading " Edgar made me do it! " Then all your neighbors will be really wondering about you Mr. Edgar Desireless...(: Okay really I just wanted to say thanks for the crazy complement - got kinda carried away again! And a shout out to my friend MrCarride if its who I think it is! See what we started here?? hahaha So Is there Joy without Desire? Is there happiness without desire? Is there motivation without desire? Is there the will to live without desire? You know just some light questions here! (: Oh and I love my big bellied Smiling Buddha sitting next to my laptop btw! (: In case you were wondering... Deb
Guest guest
deb, please dont stop laghing.. I mean, stop when it's necessary, but not as a forever thing.. I dont feel it is requred, how can it be? maybe there doesent have to be " one thing " ? maybe it's just the desire to be happy that goes away? you are just happy or whatever it is and dont have the part when you are down and thinking oh why am i so down I want to be happy and feel connection and what is wrong with me? that feel more like ego to me. laghter is light, it tickels, it doesent even need a reason to be.. why would it be of the ego? but then, I dont know anything at all, and am very much full of ego; and dont even know what is it really, so I really dont know.. and see, your Big Bellied Budda is smiling isn't he! that is comforting isn't it love, lu ---- > > So Is there Joy without Desire? Guest guest
Hahaha hey Deb, I might be mr desireless but im not without a sense of humor..no..being desireless for me is detachment from all things. i laugh at all ur crazy ideas too..hehe. of course i desire somethings but the attachment is not there, like u said..if its not there i can still live without it. and living without desires does not mean being so serious all the time, actually it is the opposite, since we are not slaves to it we are so free that it is so much more fun to pursue enlightenment. without the attachments we become empty, there is a void in us that God would fill up. in the process of filling up, we experience love and bliss and ecstasy and peace...so there is never a dull moment. so we can have our fun even while striving for perfection in a serious manner..just my take on it.. love and bliss, edgar ________________________________ flowerpowers7777 <flowerpowers7777 Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:50:22 PM Re: Be as you are - Deb and Mr Carride- Edgar Hi ya Edgar, I mean Mr. Desireless.. .wait... not undesirable but desireless! Guest guest
To me I seeing " desire " as a God (I Am) given gift, that was given to the animal-human so that it would produce activity/movement. Without it we would not have evolved to this next stage of becoming a spiritual being. You could really look at the serpent in the garden as representing/a symbol for " desire " . It was/is a neccessary thing to move us into becoming. Without it we would have stayed animal living only by instincts rather than changing to living by aware choices. It is because of it though, that we were removed from the garden and banned from the Tree of life (full kundalini awakening) until we grew into the next stage in our growth. Hehe! I am getting this from a K book I was reading on just yesterday. Coincidence? Adam symbolized subconscious mind and Eve represnted conscious mind. The conscious mind (Eve) was stimulated by desire for knowledge and wisdom (serpent or kundalini energy). This partaking of knowledge and wisdom caused the expression of indiviual desire to grow, creating ego. The ego's function is to motivate the conscious mind into action. I don't exactly agree with all this woman wrote. To me it seems it should be vice-verse. With Adam represnting the conscious mind and Eve the subconscious, for desire and creativity begans in the subconscious first (doesn't it?) and then goes to the conscious mind and into action. I don't get that part. Anyways, I just wrote this much of it to help with understanding of how desire plays in the scheme of things. As we grow spiritually the need/desire for physical outward things gradually lessens, so does the ego. That is the way I see it. My greatest desire is to become one with God, but I still have plenty of desires for earthly things, like creature comforts of a house to live in and food to eat, a car to drive me here and there, even though I do like walking too. Some places I desire to go are just way to far for walking. I have desire to have relationships and to help others in what ever way I can. I LOVE my family and friends and I do LOVE my computer! LOL! I am not so attached that I would not give them all up for the pearl of great price (the Kingdom of Heaven). I just see them as things and peoples that are necessary for living here in this physical earth world right now. I just don't see how anyone can do away with all desires while still living in the physical and continue physical living or have the ego to completely done away with. Until we evolved into the spiritual godman, we will continue to have need of the outward physical things and the ego for motivation. That is the way I see it. I do think we can come to the realization of knowing we are that god being, but we have to pass from this earthly world in complete purity to actually become. After all Jesus did, he died to the physical first and the spiritual before becoming Godman. I do believe he was a fully awakened spiritual being before his death and also was borned fully awakened. He was pure from birth to death, he was without sin. If not, his lying down his life as a final sacrifice, in an act of Pure LOVE for mankind would have been for naught. Guest guest
OMG you are so funny!Well about that " aheeem " In a non attached way! hahaha OMG I hope you all read what Edgar here wrote! Whatever do you mean Edgar? haha Like the Nike commercial - just do it! ROFL You are cracking me up today Edgar! Yes you are! Oh and I was thinking about those 800 statues of all the members here - first I was thinking (I know stop that thinking Deb) I would like to add a big belly on everyone so I could rub it on my way out the door - but then I was thinking 800 Kundalites mooning me on my way out would be just what I needed to start my day - not being a morning person and all... Just think I could give you each a little loving slap on my way everyday!!! But the choice I leave to you and all...belly or butt? Anyone here know how to make statues? 800 Mooning Kundalites! A girl can dream! (in a nonattached sort of way of course) (: I prefer the moon! See I'm trying to make peace with it - so you'll all be helping me - this site is about helping others you know! hahaha So for our full moon madness its " Yay " or " Nay " and for our kundalite statues its... " Belly or Butt " WHAT SAY YE???? Yeah Edgar definetly has the blissin going on! Deb
