Guest guest
In regards to this discussion, I feel the need to speak freely. It is apparent that one can outright repose the thoughts of another in this group by calling it s#it so let me be honest. I do not intend to create dissent or start a theological debate, but my feelings were hurt. This is the point of my discussion. Not the statement in my post. I feel I have just as much of a right to talk about my feelings here. I do not intend for the original author to feel guilty by any means what-so-ever. You merely relayed your interpretation on the crucifixion and I thought it a beautiful interpretation. I respect and love your views. They are perfect! That said-- I am cerebral by nature and Theology is a fascination for me. I love Christians, Hindus, Mormons, Jewish, Atheists and Satanists (Even the theistic ones) the same. When I posted that it was merely me, bringing up an interesting topic. I like to think, ponder, philosophize. I see good in every religion and idea. It is inspiring and thought provoking. It is the melting pot of humanity. I thought I was in an open-minded group and I could be free here. I simply wanted to share a thought. It was not an opposing view of the authors post. Please understand this. I figured that since we can so freely discuss Shakti and animal totems... Why not ponder the particular thought I posted? I mean I even posted a smiley face in the post!!!! Now about the history of the bible and calling the Dead Sea scrolls and the Nag Hammadi, etc s#it. According to historical evidence, Constantine is responsible for the canon as it is today. He set up an organization of priests and bishops and they picked and chose what books would fit into their bible and disposed of the rest as they did not serve the canon for whatever reason. They were hidden in caves and in dust, until they could be uncovered again one day. This is fact. The truth of these texts are to be interpreted as one sees fit. Now I am not theistic in any way. I love the Gnostic view even though I do not take it literal. I am offended and at a point where I want to cry. What does the Holocaust have to do with anything? That is a horrible way to prove a point. I have been persecuted by Christians all of my life. Called the Devil for thinking freely. I never even offended anyone then. Simply asked questions. I may be seen as rash with this post, but that is fine. I am not in control of anyone's perception of me. I just had to say this. This is upsetting to me and not what I came here for. I don't want anyone feeling sorry for me. I am simply stating how I feel. I am not trying to create dissent. Thank you. -Tiffany
Guest guest
Deaqr Tiffany... I have a new computer...lap top..... and I am not sure if some of my post was sent as it dissappeared from my screen???... the keys are very responsive to touch...I am going to repsond to this post and then no more as there are 145 unread in my in box.... I am sorry that you have been offended by my post... I though that this was an open minded forum too, and I find it difficult to understand why my saying some books are full of sh7t would cause you offence. I probably should have left the holocost out of it... I was trying to make the point.... in a quick way and obviously missed the mark by a mile... that there are books written stating thatt the holocost did not happen... in the same way as a book written suggests that Jesus was not cruiicified... I was attempting to say that historical fact is fact and some books are full of sh7t... simple as that... nothing to be offended I would have thought. My response was about the book not about you. It is as you say a historical fact thast constantine was responsible fo cannon,, picking and choosing ect ect.... the gnostic gospels are wonderful and texts are to be read and interpereted as one wishes......I am not trying to defend christian or catholic teaching..... I am just stating my own opinion that some books are full of sh7t.... I did not mean for you to think that you could not write what ever you want... If some one wanted to mention a book that suggested Jesus was never really born, I have no problem with them doing that... I actually think that you are perfect also Tiffany... I am sorry that you have been persecuted by christians all your life.... I support free thinking and free speech for everyone.....and I hold that view for myself too.......I am also entitled to state my opinion about the view a book takes... or is that not ok? ________________________________ angelikdementia <angelikdementia Friday, July 10, 2009 6:07:35 AM Re: Crucifixion/birth of new - In regards to this discussion, I feel the need to speak freely.
