Guest guest
Hello again everyone, Thanks for the feedback on the site, and don't worry I didn't create it from total scratch! Wish I were that skilled... Joomla is a wonderful program that makes setting up feature filled websites much easier Anyway, there have been concerns about the privacy of the site since people may put posts from KAS on there. Here is a link http://help.joomla.org/content/view/476/153/ with information about user registration etc. that can be done. The gist of it is that any content posted on that site can have the access level restricted to registered users. This will then be up to the editors to make sure that pages are tagged appropriately, but it is totally feasible! It is also possible to restrict anything that is under a link in the main menu. If we create a section " user posts " and then have subcategories we can just restrict access to " user posts " and by default everything " inside " will be restricted as well. This way anyone can come to the site and view things like the safeties, yoga exercises, etc. The tricky part here then becomes how to handle user registration. Usually anyone with an email address can register and then have access to the site. Chrism, do you want to have someone " activate " accounts so that not just anyone can register and view the archives? And please don't ask about migrating user accounts from , that is something MUCH more difficult that requires database programming or quite a few hours having someone manually type in all the user names and emails. I hope all of that sounds like it will work out. -Gabriel
