Guest guest
Best of luck Mike, in these times its tough to get a job if you are unemployed, let alone a socially responsible one. Guest guest
Thank you everyone for their responses to this! Here is an update. A very strange (in a good kinda way ) thing has happened. So a week ago I put in my two week notice at work. There wasnt much discussion: Me: " Just a heads up, my last day is on the 20th " Manager 1: " You are leaving? " Me: " Yes " Manager 2: " Ok " So today I got called in the office and the manager says the strangest thing to me. He says two days before I came to him and told him that I am leaving he had a preminition that I would do that. He even told the other manager about it before I put in my two week notice. He wanted me to know that its a bad idea. He asked why I want to leave and I told him that I would rather work with people than computers. He says that if I was leaving because I found another job with more money thats fine, but for the reason I gave him its a bad idea. So finally he says, do what you want but think about it first, maybe take a vacation and let me know. So while I was bent on quitting this job and ready to start something new, I didnt have anything lined up after, because I havnt really researched into what I want to do. This speech, especially the preminition part, totally threw a boomerang my way. Is it a message from the higher self that if I just quit right now, it will be a little unfavorable/harsh for me? Is the manager just making this stuff up about the premonition (since the manager knows i am into yoga/buddhism) to catch my attention to stay? If so i am probably the worst programmer on the job, since I am always daydreaming about the cosmos instead of programming. lol I guess the biggest question is: (and there is probably not an answer anyone can give in words): How do you know when something happens for a reason? Or How do you know that when something happens, and it seems like a coincidence/accident, that its actually an invisible hand guiding you? I know these questions are probably unanswerable, but just though I would put this out there. After some thinking I am going to keep this job for now, but slowly research my way into what I want to do after and then make the transition slow and gentle. Thanks for reading. Much Love Mike Mike: was thinking as I read your post...< keep the job for now> like you said. Have enjoyed very much following your posts.. But here's another perspective on your question - I do a little hiring where I work and it gives my boss and the organization real happiness that we can hire in these economic times. Congratulations on the way it was communicated to you and how you listened to your inner guidance on this. eyes ears and heart open ! thank you for sharing what happened Anna .. _______________ Get free photo software from Windows Live http://www.windowslive.com/online/photos?ocid=PID23393::T:WLMTAGL:ON:WL:en-US:SI\ _PH_software:082009
Guest guest
Hi Mike, i enjoyed reading your post...and I can relate, as I quit my teaching job at the end of March, and then circumstances changed and I ended up working until now (MOnday will be my last day). Things have unfolded well; my mom has an apartment in Durban which (coincidentally..lol) will become avalaible for me on the day I leave Taiwan, as the previous tenant gave notice and will leave. In many other small ways, things have worked out in surprising and unforseen ways the last few months.. I have more money, I had time to write another book, etc etc.. and I feel ready to return to South Africa.. The point of this, is that increasingly I feel that if we are on a spiritual path, then we can make decisions with confidence, and then surrender the decision to God. If the timing is wrong or not in our best interests, then we can trust that we will recieve guidance or our actions will be blocked. Perhaps this is what is happening with you.. you have made a decision, and you are receiving guidance to slow down a little. My experience is that when I hold fast and contract around what I want to do, then I block Spirits commuunication to me.. Intuitivly, I sense that you were wise in making a decision to follow your heart and leave computers and find a way to work with people (I also did that before.., I used to be a programmer and left to travel and work with people), and you are also wise in trusting what is coming into your field, surrendering your way and moving with the new information that is arising... love and change Bruce , JiNN <jinnproduction wrote: > > Thank you everyone for their responses to this! > Here is an update.
