I have not written of checked in in some time. I have been overwhelmed.

My father in law had a long drawn-out death this summer and I have been having a

real hard time, to put it mildly, at work. it is Sunday morning I just felt like

saying hi and giving an update.

I keep reminding myself and my wife that,

This too shall pass…or in Buddhist term, " impermanence "

and

Everything serves a higher purpose

You are in my thoughts Rich...sometimes life is overwhelming - be of good heart

and know you have family here - today is the all group day meditation- place

your intention in the universe and members of the group will meditate on it for

you... You can also join us - anytime today - we are all sending for each

other- giving is a good path always...

dear Richard

my heart is still thinking about you and your dear wife this afternoon.

.. .

just a poem i wanted to share. . .may your day and week be gentle and

good like you dear Richard. . .

…May great courage accompany those willing to cross the

River of

Sorrow .

May all who read these words be freed from the bondage of fear and

denial.

May our eyes remain open even in the face of tragedy.

May we not become disheartened.

May we find in the dissolution of our apathy and denial, the cup of the

broken heart.

May we discover the gift of the fire burning is the inner chamber of our

being-burning great and bright enough to transform any poison.

May we offer the power of our sorrow to the service of something greater

than ourselves.

May our guilt not rise up to form yet another defensive wall.

May the suffering purify and not paralyze us.

May we endure; may sorrow bond us and not separate us.

May we realize the greatness of our sorrow and not run from its touch or

Its flame.

May clarity be our ally and wisdom our support.

May our wrath be cleansing, cutting through the confusion of denial and

greed.

May we not be afraid to see or speak our truth.

May the bleakness of the wasteland be dispelled.

May the soul's journey be revealed and the true hunger fed.

May we be forgiven for what we have forgotten and blessed with the

remembrance of who we really are.

Rich,

My deepest sympathy for your loss. I'm sure your father in law is in a place of

peace.

Hard times only makes us stronger and more knowledgeable. Take these lessons and

embrace them. Just remember, they are only a small moment in time.

Blessings,

Ernie

Hi Rich,

Much love to you and your family and all you've been through. I pray things at

work turn around for you! May the sun shine down upon your family and the tide

change, the air comfortable, beautiful breezes, a bit of peace, and some real

joy! I wish I could wave a magic wand - I'd have all your co-workers and

customers dancing around in their pj's to some really rockin' music... I've sent

the request in to God - please let us know if he answers...much love to you and

yours! You are in our prayers and best wishes!!!
