Guest guest
Hi kundalites... So lately I am having a dragonfly that visits (understatement) me when I go out in my backyard on the trampoline to meditate. This has been the third time now, I didn't at first think anything about it, but today it was quite clear that it was hanging with me. So I'm laying there looking up at the sky and as usual it is flying back and forth along my body. Okay fine, except it is quite low just inches from me, but this is the strange part. After it flies from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head a couple times it sits (well I mean it hovers in the air in one spot) always in the same place. Just to my left - I mean so close to my left shoulder - just one hand span away. The wings are quite loud - the vibrating of them so I put my sweatshirt around my ears a bit so it didn't vibrate so loud. So there it stays and stays and stays - and then when any bug came around - for example a fly - it darted after the fly and chased it away and came back to just under my left shoulder and hovered again - until the next bug came and it chased it away. This went on and on. For an entire hour - the whole time I was meditating on the trampoline this cute dragonfly stayed with me - always just to my left unless it was busy chasing some bug away! How crazy is that???? Anyway background, I go to this one forest (not today) and there is a deck that hangs over the pond so you can sit there - and I spend much time there watching the dragonflies zip about - I always thought they were so beautiful - watching those colors under the sun. So I do like dragonflies, but... You know my dog died last year...maybe I have a new friend...or maybe I am going to be a pirate in my next life and I'm getting warmed up to creatures on my shoulder(preparing for a parrot)...Watch out Jack Sparrow - here I come! Guest guest
Hi Deb: To me, the dragonfly is a messenger. Often I view them as a carrier of spirit. For me, my heart dances when you note your dog and dragon fly visit within the same thought. Be sure to tickle his belly at the next visit. For me, sometimes it's someone's passing, a new adventure and/or new beginning. Their colours take time to come forth and teach us that with maturity our own true colours become visible. They inhabit two realms, water and air. (Take time to understand the importance of these two items. You might need to look at some fresh air in regard to something emotional.) Their realm is the realm of light; or transformation. Dragonflies magic is the power of light. Well, I could ramble on and on with my take on dragonflies. My thought would be not to cover your ears...open them as wide as your eyes become while observing them, open your heart wide, and let each fluttering vibration resonate within and throughout you. -Danielle , " flowerpowers7777 " <flowerpowers7777 wrote: > > Hi kundalites... > > So lately I am having a dragonfly that visits (understatement) me when I go out in my backyard on the trampoline to meditate. Guest guest
Thank you Danielle, I'm thinking about all you said here, I'm glad that made your heart happy thinking about my dog and dragonfly (: I will try not to cover my ears next time ha its wings - the vibrations made my ears vibrate so much it was so loud. I liked what you said too about them being the realm of light. Hey how are you???? So happy you are back! Yes please tell us how your trip was and how you are doing!!! We missed you but I bet it was beautiful there! Hope all is well and thank you for all you gifted me - much to ponder - transformation doesn't have to be hard right? When we empty and allow it to just flow in that's all we need to do - surrender...so I'll take my dragonfly transformer as a beautiful sign. Thank you my friend! And how are your dogs - they must have missed you! (: Much love to you girl and so happy you are back! Guest guest
When I came out of one of my first meditations I put my fingers out and communicated with a dragonfly that I wanted him to land on them and he did. I was astounded and still am today when I look back at the situation. It signaled the importance of stillness and communication with self and others. It was a reason for me to continue the practice. The love is still there. Love, Jake
