Guest guest
Hi Jake, yep, its true that some people just arent interested in what we have to say, no matter how good it is... Not responding is an interesting practice.. why dont you try it for a few days, and instead of responding, try and inhabit their perspective and feel their world as fully as possible? I find taking and honoring perspectives, (without agenda, simply to understand and honor) a fascinatating tour, a dance into different worlds...... and deeply liberating... love Bruce , Andrew Carney <jakecarney36 wrote: > > I am having trouble releasing my ego in that I want to make egoic response to those I disagree with. The ego tricks me into thinking that my response is a creative endeavor and must manifest. I believe that the people that I am responding to will only keep the battle of the egos going. My response is from who I am. I have always been on the side of the underdog. I know that the cycle that grabs me must be done away with if I am to progress or even survive without taking contrary opinions to heart. When I see a suffering world I respond with my opinion and what I believe is a good argument about how things got that way. Responding to people that already have their own agenda is what I am playing into. In reality they don't want to hear my observations from living in countries with better health care and how it works. I almost ask the question of should I not respond? What happens with the next messages sent? I know how that would affect me now before the > change. I want to send them pictures of myself at a rally in the late " 60 " and say that I am worse now. My knee length beard and accompanying hair certainly give away my persuasions in this picture. Other opinions plague me only when they come from this group.Really wanting to change but the electricity won't let me,Jake > > > > >
