Guest guest Posted August 20, 2009 Report Share Posted August 20, 2009 I share property with my in-laws and they usually water the trees and plants around here, so they spend most of the time outside, much more time out there than I. The very seldom times I am outside like today I went to water the trees....I keep running into the snakes, or vise versa! This is the third one so far. They come inches from my feet and I think I startle them just as much as they startle me. They are big too, not little tiny garden snakes, big ones. I don't know why I'm so afraid of these creatures, maybe because of my christian background and snakes are evil in that belief. It was comforting looking up the snake totem though...this is what I found: The snake is a powerful totem, symbolizing eternity, wisdom, transformation and intuition.
