Guest guest
Dear Chrism, Thank you for writing this. I was very ego driven as a teenager. I am a Leo and our sign stands for Pride. And I was very PROUD!! Some used to say I had earned the right to be proud of myself but my problem was also being haughty with it. Very ego driven. As I have been learning and experiencing more of the Kundalini I have tried to kill my ego and by doing that I have also killed part of my fun personality. I must do this and I cant do that were my new mantras. My family felt they had lost the old me and I was also not 'myself' anymore. I have over the past few weeks, been treating my ego as the youth part of myself. I listen to her and achknowlege her and what she wants to do. I then use my Kundalini self to make the right decision and say " No " to her when I need to. I think this worries a lot of people at first as they, like me, feel they will lose a big part of themselves in this process, and by losing themselves they will also lose jobs and families. This does not have to be so, as long as they are true to themselves and those around them. We must do this and that in order to advance, to the ego, or we will have problems. Self denial, self flagellation, exercises to rid us of the taint of ego. Yes I'm simplifying. I could go on and on though. > > Not everyone takes such a view toward the ego. I do not. The ego is > a part of who I am as a person. In this way, we can advance with a loving and considerate approach to ourselves without the idea of something inside us needing to be excised or controlled to the point of obliteration. > > Ego will learn and will follow instructions. As with kids you don't let them run rampant and you put definite limitations on their activities but you love them and they love you for it. Control, from the view of a parent is a very nurturing and helpful, effective way to teach the ego, our inner child. - blessings to you - chrism >
Guest guest
Excellent discernment by you Iona. Nice going! Yes the ego is part of who we are and there is nothing hateful about who we are. We " will " die to the old self with the Kundalini however though that terminology may not be so comforting or correct. More accurate is that we are born into a " New Self " retaining aspects of the old so there is no need for folks to fear. For many centuries much fear and certain standards and expectations and controls were placed on how one " would " or " should " experience the Kundalini and what one " must " do. Many of these ancient systems are correct but not all of them are correct. I feel much has also been lost to translation and to time itself. I honor those ancient teachings with contemporary discernment just like you Iona. - lol. The Huna teachings in this regard I feel are best imho. with regards to Kundalini and they are as complete a psychology as one could wish for. - blessings to you Iona. - chrism , " ionaskydancer " <ionaskydancer wrote: > > Dear Chrism, > > Thank you for writing this. Guest guest
Hi Chrism, Thank you for this answer. It's comforting to hear. We only glosssed over the Huna Religion when I was studying Comparative Religion and Theology, but I did not look into it further at the time. There was too much other stuff to cover. But now you mention it I will have a look on line and read more. Blessings, Skydancer x , " " <> wrote: > > Excellent discernment by you Iona. Guest guest
Most of what you find online has been corrupted by commercial interests masquerading as Huna. Check out Max Freedom Longs books for information about the Huna I speak of and do not go to those who have bought the rights to his books. They are part of the commercial issue. I am sure that someday they may see and experience and give to others through the gifts that they give themselves from the gifts of which Max Freedom Long wrote. Its just that they have not reached that place yet...but there is hope. Yes I have met them in person. - lol! - chrism ---
