Guest guest
Hi All: I wanted to share something very magical. Over the weekend I built a little meditation area. I made it from desert willow branches, and tied it together with agave fibers (and hemp roping). I modeled it after the beehives of Ireland, the inipi and teepee teachings. I gave thanks for every branch and element used for it. I knew that it would be my little space for meditation and wanted to be respectful while creating it. There are so many things that make this little branch tent-like dome " hOM " so magical. For starters it's in a rocky section of my yard which has been zoned for my addition/gallary/art space-someday. It's dream space. The blue prints were approved last year...but I have been dragging my feet in investing in the building of it etc. I noticed that the moonlight casts through the open sections and sets the hut aglow-making the white fabric strips shimmer like diamonds. In between the existing flagstone pieces-now hut's foundation, I planted some flowers, and in various corners placed potted or hanging herbs, made a little " fire pit " area in the center to hold candles etc. I did some carvings on the branches of symbols that have been meaningful to me, and hung my prayer ties. Well, last night a mansoon hit...we experienced gusty winds and thunderous booms. I thought for certain my little " hOM " would be blown over. But this morning, there " she " stood with the flowers and herbs watered from the rain, and the flagstone damp and cool. I thought to myself, " made it through the first round, and still standing. " I stepped inside for my morning meditation, and it was purely magical. I felt like I did as a young girl, when I carved out an area in a large bush and made it my secret hut. As a child, this is where I would " talk " with the animals and plants while stacking my little stones. This morning, I was doing the very same, and I felt so alive. To a passerby it looks like a child's stick fort...but step inside and the universe awaits. I think it's symbolic to venturing inside self. I'm excited to distill some lavender this weekend, and to continue further thought into finding the " right " avenue for bridge art and healing and bringing this into the lives of others. I encourage you (if indeed this is something would recommend in regards to Kundalini)to do something for your inner child-for that place of knowing that holds your inner truth. Peace: Danielle
