What I tell you below is only part of my story. I would need much more time in

order to go into detail.

My story:

I was born in Scranton Pa., in the Year of Our Lord 1971, on All Saints' Day,

November 1, to Warren and Barbara Wells. My father and mother were separated

early in my childhood and I do not remember much of my father until years later.

My mother was an alcoholic. She had many psychological problems and I believe

she suffered from depression, exacerbating her abuse of alcohol. She was Irish

Catholic, my father a non-practicing Christian. An attention-seeker from very

early on in life—most likely due to not getting the parental love I needed—I

also suffered some mental and sexual abuse. I have, however, learned to love and

forgive, with the grace of God.

My mother died when I was 9 years old. I was heartbroken, even though by that

time, I had developed a great resentment towards both God and my mother. I moved

in with my father and was already a rebel. I must thank my parents, though, for

they did establish some discipline in my life. My father was now remarried and

had another child. Shortly thereafter, I began to abuse alcohol and drugs. I

became a womanizer, a thief, a drunk and a drug addict. Also, I was involved

with a gang. This went on for about 10 years. I went through a lot trouble, but

Our Lord always had His hand there. I met my wife in 1990 and I attended the

University of Scranton for two years, from `92 to `94.

In 1991, I began my journey into Alcoholics Anonymous and began to rebuild my

relationship with God. At the end of my drinking career, I reached out for the

Lord through the Holy Rosary, and my prayers were answered. In 1992, I went into

a rehabilitation center and it was there I found out about addiction. I gave my

life to Christ, which led to a ministry of healing. I became a member of the

Charismatic movement in 1993, when I was working in nursing. A year later, I

left the Jewish nursing home, where I had been working as a Certified Nurses

Aide, and obtained a job with the State of Pennsylvania, doing the same type of

work.

I began to have mystical experiences during the years of 1993 after several

months of deep prayer with minor meditation. My very first experience occurred

one night while in prayer. I remember this because I was having a very difficult

day. I told Our Lord that I was unsure of the direction I was going in and that

I needed HIM to show me something. As I began to initiate meditation that night

another source began to take over. I heard these words, " Warren you are doing

well " . These words were not only heard but felt. I also remember feeling as if

there was a light above my head and I experienced periods of glowing. There were

also other experiences, such as my heart being filled with heat and on one

occasion I had a vision. I began to study Mysticism, Apparitions and Scripture

as well as the Dogmas/Doctrines of the Catholic Church.

In 1994, I started my own prayer group under the Marian Movement of Priests. I

had several spiritual directors—all Roman Catholic priests—but our dialogues

began to be more like debates, than exchanges of love and fellowship. I had

disagreed with the changes that crept into the Church after the closing of the

second Vatican Council and they did not like this. So I was on my own until

1995, when I met Msgr. Raymond from the Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Msgr. Raymond became my mentor and encouraged my becoming a priest. I continued

private studies with Msgr. Raymond as my spiritual director. We came across a

group of priests founded by Fr. Andrew Wingate in 1998, The Oblates of St.

Therese. They were a new form of consecrated life. My several attempts to

contact Fr. Andrew himself, were in vain, and I gave up. In November of that

year, Msgr. Raymond went home to our Lord. I drew close to Our Lord and began a

five-month-long spiritual journey of fasting and prayer. Then, through a mystic,

I met Bishop Thomas Rohde, a Bishop for the Oblates of Saint Therese, and six

months later, on October 9, 1999, I was ordained an Independent Roman Catholic

Priest. Several years later I was consecrated by a Bishop within the communion

of CICAM-WCCAC which was founded by Patriarch Luis Mendez Castillo.

During the years of 1999-2004 I went through many trials and tribulations. With

Heaven being silent and no real direction I became depressed. Questions began

to arise and I began to doubt this mission I chose. I also began to drink again,

which of course made matters worse. Praise God!!! I came to my senses and

stopped drinking.

I am no longer associated with these groups. I do work independently with a

Bishop from India at times but I still live as a civilian. I know what I am. I

am a husband. I am a father. I am a gift of God. I am Blessed by the Holy Image

within me. I am awakened from the dust. I am once again resurrected.

My only true desire is to become one with God. I surrender my will to HIS. I

will remain as I am until I am truly lead by the Spirit. I am a Gift but I am

still simply a man. I am no different than you seeking a higher purpose in this

life. I must remain still and silent. I am not here to teach. I am here to

listen and learn. I only have one request from those who are here. Pray for me

as I pray for you.

Thank you,

W. Thomas Wells

Hi Thomas,

I am new to the group as well, just having attended a seminar by Chrism, whose

group this is.

I too am in a more " cocooned " state awaiting direction from Source with my

gifts. For me I feel guided in many ways, but have not gotten any messages to

express my gifts in form yet.

I will keep you in my prayer awareness.

Blessings,

Lorree
