Guest guest
Hi all...I have been reading the booklet I got at the seminar and I am still alittle lost with the two, so any insights or examples would be gratefully accepted! Guest guest
Forgiveness is the letting go of a situation or person that caused you pain or some other emotional reaction and to no longer choose or want restitution or punishment for what happened. Recapitulation would be to examine the incidence and try to figure out why it caused you to feel pain, anger or whatever in the first place. For example if a person began shouting in anger at you insults that cause you pain or anger or whatever other emotions because of their action. Examine yourself to understand why their action or words effected you in that way. I hope that is the difference, that is the way I see it. I think also it is like putting yourself in their place to examine why they acted in the way they did so towards you. Hehe! when I first read the safeties I had to look up that word " recapitulation " ...I had not the foggiest ideal of what the word meant. Guest guest
That explanation is very good ...it's a review of what happened like you said .... reconsideration may follow.. this is the latin word defined in Webster's Dictionary. recapitulación; Synonyms: reconsideration; A consideration of a topic (as in a meeting) with a view to changing an earlier decision. crazycats711 Thu, 10 Sep 2009 20:38:32 +0000 Re: What is the difference between recapitulation and forgiveness?
