R: Not perfect a poem

I loved that elektra... it has a joyous bounce to it I love, I'm going to save

it and I know when I'll read it in future it will bring a smile to my lips and

remind me of what is so true but so easily forgotten..:)thanks for sharing,lucia

Maybe I'm not perfect,

 

This body of mine,

 

Has got its problems

 

But I guess thats just fine.

 

A lump here,

 

A bump there,

 

A stretch mark or two,

 

It's true I get rashes

 

From just eating food.

 

 

 

Maybe I'm not perfect,

 

this body of mine,

 

My legs are too chunky,

 

I've a kink in my spine.

 

My breasts could be bigger,

 

But at least I have two

 

My womb bares no children,

 

But at least I have you.

 

 

 

And I'm free,

 

To love me, to be me, to free me....

 

GoD made me,

 

To love me, to love you, to serve you.

 

So I guess thats what I'll do.

 

 

 

I'm unique , a one off,

 

I'm gonna love and accept me,

 

I'm the only one of ME I've got,

 

So, gosh, I'll just hug me!

Golden and shining,

 

A real lightening rod.

 

Your joy is infectious,

 

Your love nurtures all,

 

Your heart flame's enormous

 

It permeates all.

 

So, I'm just going to love me, Warts and all,

 

Yes thats right!

 

And then I'll know to love others,

 

And dance in the light.
