Guest guest
This is the best approach and the one I support the most. Yes sometimes a person will have a head blowing experience but that is not the goal from where I am situated. Kundalini will come as it determines is best through the Shaktipat and the practices. If that is a subtle and gentle experience or a mindblowing one is up to many factors of a persons practice and Karma. If someone is hoping to be blown out of their shoes I got news for you! Most are not doing the full range of the safeties, I have found, inside of these quarterly Shaktipats. One example of this is that selfless service seems to be one of the most difficult aspects of the safeties to follow for many. Forgiveness itself is hard enough but to reach through our comfort bubble and meet someone new and then offer to help them in some way well that is quite a ways outside of our normal mode of interaction. I encourage you to be courageous in that way. Do your best to not be shy or uncomfortable about even meeting another person let alone offering them aid. With great power comes even greater responsibilities and Kundalini gifts are to be shared not hoarded. - blessings all! - chrism
Guest guest
A few days ago I had gone to the food bank to pick up a box for a family in the community. It has been a while since I had been to " the bank " . After seeing how low the bank's supply had become, I planned a canned food drive for the rest of the week. It ended up being just a few of us, but we collected half a truck full of goods thanks to everyone's giving. It was a tiny gesture but now this small handful of us have committed to volunteering at the foodbank. I breached the topic about developing a community garden. I meet to talk more about it next week...and I'm ready to do more than talk about it. I have a feeling things will be growing and glowing. Chrism, do you still have any more watermelon seeds available? Guest guest
Danielle, What a wonderful thing to do. I'm not sure if we have any such things in my area but I will look into it. I wish you all the best in your venture. Guest guest
I did slack off on doing the practice through the summer months. Mostly because I was feeling ill most of it. I found it very hard to tolerate the summer heat this year. Summer used to my my favorite season. It was the Tibetans that I mostly left off, but there were some days I just could not seem to do any of it, even meditation. I had to work real hard on inner joy so as not to fall into depression. It was avery emotional summer for me. I sure was out of my comfort zone, in asking and giving healing to James and my daughter the other night. It was harder than asking a complete stranger. When I was in a church setting back years ago, it was no big deal to lay hands on people for healing. Sorry so late in replying to this, but I had a busy weekend and I am in one of my very sleepy stage. I can't seem to get enough sleep. Also, your post made me feel guilt and shame for not trying harder through the summer. I think a lot of it may have been due to not doing the chakra breathing and other breathing exercises. I was doing all of it every day, it was a big change " not " doing.
