Guest guest
hi. i've always done meditation by simply focusing on the breath and being mindful of all sensations/thoughts. relaxing into being. but i was on the KAS site and saw a video about post tibetan meditation watching this vid about the post Tibetan meditation http://www.kundaliniawakeningsystems1.com/meditation-video-01.html i understand the posture, but is there a specific method of meditation to be done? do you concentrate on an object? do you concentrate without an object? do you simply relax? thank you
Guest guest
One need not concentrate on anything. If you choose to do the compression prayer then some concentration may be used but after a time one slips the bonds of concentration and allows the process itself to become the meditation. We do this as a way of using physical forms of activity as doorways into non linear thinking and release. We release from " doing " in the usual way of intentional based expressions and " allow " through a certain activity to become released from the exp[ectation of " doing " anything. So we go from the Tibetans right into a cool down using techniques that begin to focus, not through our intentions but through the mechanics of the activity itself, into areas of internal experience that would otherwise need other forms of practice to achieve. So allow the activity itself to bring shape and form to the meditation with out using the ego mind to do this. - , " mikaelz0 " <mixolyd wrote: > > hi. > > i've always done meditation by simply focusing on the breath and being mindful of all sensations/thoughts. relaxing into being. but i was on the KAS site and saw a video about post tibetan meditation > > watching this vid about the post Tibetan meditation > http://www.kundaliniawakeningsystems1.com/meditation-video-01.html > > i understand the posture, but is there a specific method of meditation to be done? do you concentrate on an object? do you concentrate without an object? do you simply relax? > > thank you >
