Guest guest
One of the safeties is SERVICE. Often we think of service as a major volunteer event or an ongoing commitment on a regular basis. Yes that is one definitions of service yet- there are many other ways to offer service. A prayer - offering healing to an individual or on the healing list- saying hello to a neighbor - setting up a community garden - helping family members when they are in need - donating money to a charity - or giving a gift to a person on the street - smiling to someone on the street - being kind to the lady behind the counter - going up to a a soldier and saying thank you - sending an email to a friend you have not contacted in a while - posting on the KAS site sharing your experiences - and on and on. From the smallest of offerings to the huge gift of your time there are many ways to offer service. As a Kundalini active person the service is more than an ordinary gift - as a Kundalini active person we are radiating grace and love all the time. So as we offer our time or energy or material gifts each one is surrounded by grace and love. The recipient thus receives much more than what is being offered on the surface. And the flip side of any service is that there is a gifting that occurs for the giver. As you offer the grace and love you are receiving the gifts of grace and love. I find this very evident when participating in a healing conference. All those who participate report energy in many ways flowing within them as they intend healing for others. Shakti is the guide and the one who heals, while we are the conduits for the healing. I see this also when I greet another or offer a smile. There is a feeling that occurs when the recipient returns the smile or the greeting. One little smile can offer to another a needed acceptance or validation that they are recognized - we have no idea how we affect others. Yet by a small gift of a smile we receive back in so many ways. Seva was discussed here on the site as selfless service. It was suggested that helping with the KAS1 seminars by posting the info on your sites or by passing out flyers is a service – Yes it is. And the nice thing about service to the KAS1 program is that you affect many many people. Hang one flyer and many will see it. All may respond in a different way but the fact that the word KUNDALINI is now in the vocabulary of all these folks is service. We are blessed with a glorious gift- by offering service to others we share that gift and for some it is what is needed to begin their journey.
