Guest guest
Bill, Congratulations, and well done. This is a big deal. Some very special person some day may be forever grateful to you for your (literally) lifesaving gift. I remember when our dear little daughter age 7 then , died (now almost 20 years ago)we were only able to donate her corneas (the rest of her poor little body organs were not usable- too messed up), but I know that somewhere, some lucky person is seeing out of those very special " blue " eyes, and share her very incredible gifts. Well done, and bless your heart. Shaun - I feel I have turned a very important corner in my life. > > > > Anyway, I just wanted to scream out this important milestone I've crossed :-) > > Thank you for listening. > Love, > Bill >
Guest guest
Hi Guys, First Shaun, what a wonderful and brave thing for you to do. At the time it must have been so hard for you as we hope we never have to face the death of one of our children. My heart feels for you and your family and you are wonderful, special people. Congratulations Bill. I have never had a problem with donating any part of myself that will enrich the life of someone else, after my death. I have even discussed leaving my whole body for medical students as they are hard to get hold of for many reasons. My husband and children do not like this idea, so I have bowed to their wishes on this one. I am so pleased that you have changed your mind and now you have to let everyone know, so that when the time comes there it is easier for anyone. In the UK the government are discussing using cards saying a person 'does not' want to leave organs, rather than the present system of Donor Cards. I wish you both well, Iona x , " shaun1154 " <shaunjd wrote: > > Bill, > Congratulations, and well done. This is a big deal.
