Organ Donor?

Hi,

 

I searched the archives but can't find any information about this. I have

always been against being an organ donor for immature selfish reasons, but as I

age (yes today's another birthday) I see the value I could give someone. It

makes me almost cry with joy making this decision today, today I need to renew

my Drivers license and I am going ahead with having 'Organ Donor' on the license

for the first time in my life. I feel I have turned a very important corner in

my life.

 

This may be no big deal to those who crossed this barrier years ago, but the

reaction of my wife just minutes ago was priceless... " you want to do WHAT?!

You've always been AGAINST donating! " . And she very quickly reminded me that

she wanted to do that long, long ago when we met and I talked her out of it.

Well, I must give her credit, she was far more advanced than I in this area.

Well, she's a nurse and has been around surgeries her whole life so it's no big

deal for her.

 

Anyway, I just wanted to scream out this important milestone I've crossed :-)
