Guest guest
I was just wondering this afternoon, if maybe some of the older books and stuff could be moved to something like the MediaFire program I posted about yesterday. We have lots of books uploaded. We could make a KAS account there. It is unlimited for downloads and uploads. And it stays there as long as there is new files loaded regularly. The only limit is that a file cannot be over 100MB. I don't think we even have a file that is anywhere near that, unless maybe one of the photo album. Our photo section is reaching it's limit as well, I think. From what I am understanding there can only be 120 photo albums created, but there may not be a limit to how many photos to an ablum. Not for sure on that. Some of the ablums have lots of photos and some only have one or two. Some people have more than one ablum. Maybe we could do some combining of albums and free up some ablums space. blessings, Linda , " " . wrote: > > Thank you Linda - > e >
Guest guest
Thanks Linda for looking into this - sounds like we need to do something - wonder if the size of the group posts lists has an affect on this? We certainly can consolidate the photo albums and maybe delete the ones that are past like the shaktipats form earlier - but will have to see if they are needed. e
Guest guest
I took a look at the help for - here's the link: http://help./l/us//groups/original/members/web/index.html We only get 100 MB total for files. It looks like we are using 98% of it. (This shows at the bottom of the page, below all the files listed.) Also, limits the size of each file to 5 MB. At a decent quality of recording resolution, this is only about 5 minutes of audio in an mp3 file. So even if there was room left in our 100MB, trying to upload would fail if the mp3 file were larger than 5 MB.... One thing the FAQ recommends for larger files (> 5MB) is to store them on another web site and then put a link to them in the files section. Perhaps these music files could be stored on the KAS1 website? We may also want to consider moving some of the other files in our files section over there too, if there is room. Then we just post links in the files section.... Blessings, David
Guest guest
Thank you David for looking into this, and relaying the findings in such a helpful way. This is one area that certainly is not my area of know-how, but it shows how vast the layers are for keeping the group accessible and operational. If there are ways that I might be of assistance so that Chrism's focus can remain on the Kundalini aspects of the group, I will certainly do what I am able, and learn what I can along the way. The free uploader that Linda indicated (mediafire.com) appears to do what you state. It may be a resource if the website is not. But, like I said...it's a bit of a foreign language to me. Thank you again. -Danielle > > We may also want to consider moving some of the other files in our files section over there too, if there is room.
