Guest guest
Chrism/All: How does one know that they will unravel, unearth, peel off all the layers and get to the divine within and actually be of true service in this life time? If I have a say so, I would prefer not to spend this entire life-time unraveling(though I understand that is what may be required). I want to find my true path, to be of service and impact this world in a positive way. Am I to surrender to the concept of time and the process, like that of making a loaf of bread...tossing all the incredients together, rolling it out, pounded it down, letting it rise, pounding it down again, watching and waiting while it bakes so it doesn't get charred. Guest guest
Danielle, You are currently, right now, being of service in this lifetime. Through that service, more unraveling will occur, allowing the Divine to shine through more and more. That's the secret of seva: by allowing and asking Shakti to shine through and work through you, She flows through you like a river of Light. Like the river Herakles diverted to clean the Augean stables in the Greek myth. The Love pours through you and transforms you - everything else gets washed away. Don't let your mind confuse you. The mind likes everything linear and logical. First, I must get enlightened. Then, I can serve. What if you must serve in order to get enlightened? You don't have to surrender to time and the process, just to Shakti. Time and the process are mental concepts - don't surrender to the mind, just to Shakti. Let Her do what She does. She doesn't need or even necessarily know about time (the way we misunderstand it). Her process is sublime and incomprehensible. Not to understand so much as to wonder at, in awe, devotion, and love. To accept that we do not understand, to let go of the need to understand, then to go with it anyway. I feel amazed sometimes when I see all the service you are doing - from the garden, to organizing a seminar, to participating so actively in our K community. Don't let anyone in your psyche tell you that you are not being of service! Love, David
Guest guest
Hi Danielle, I find service and surrender are closely related, and as I surrender more, I make more time for service. Sometimes the unravelling/peeling off process seems to take forever, years and years, and its useful to look back and see how far you have come. Just think of most of the worlds population who has no idea yet that they need to unravel and re the path of service into the world and your work... trust the divine and in the space of surrender the divine will show you your path when its time (which can be frustrating when you want it to happen now.. haha .. i know this well.. ) yet in the end, the fruits of the spirit shine out from the place of surrender love Bruce , " iamwaitingmoon " <iamwaitingmoon wrote: > > Chrism/All: > How does one know that they will unravel, unearth, peel off all the layers and get to the divine within and actually be of true service in this life time? Guest guest
Are you saying that I should, surrender, Bruce? Dang, I thought I could perhaps skirt around it...but strangely all roads lead back to surrender. (Sounds like a good bumper sticker or t-shirt). Love to you. Thank you, this is lovely & helpful. -Danielle > and re the path of service into the world and your work... trust the divine and in the space of surrender the divine will show you your path when its time (which can be frustrating when you want it to happen now.. haha .. i know this well.. ) > > yet in the end, the fruits of the spirit shine out from the place of surrender > > love > Bruce
