Sunshine or Rain?

I woke one late one morning and looked out of the bedroom window. " Oh, Good. The

sun is shining " I said to myself, and got dressed to go out. I went into the

living room and looked out of the window - it was pouring with rain. I said to

John, " But it was sunny a moment ago, when did it start raining? " " Its been

raining non stop all morning and there is no way you could have seen the sun. "

 

I know what I saw, has anyone else experienced this phenomena?
